La La's Landing: A Love Story That We All Need!

A great vacation home just 1 hr. southeast of the Twin Cities. Located across the street from Lake Pepin & within walking distance to Ohuta Beach plus all of the downtown businesses, parks and the marina. When you visit La La's Landing, you will be renting the main & lower levels of the home which is approx. 2000 sq ft. Our 5 year old property sleeps 8 & has 2 private bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen & a private deck w/a gas grill. INCREDIBLE VIEWS LAKE PEPIN and the BLUFFS! We are the Zmuda's -- we named our property La La's Landing because: 1) I was La La as a girl when my father was teaching me how to say my name 2) LA (ke) Pepin in LA (ke) City and 3) We are in love w/ the musical La La Land! You can expect comfortable accommodations within walking distance of Ohuta beach, Lake City Marina, downtown, shopping, dining, city parks and scenic walkways. Triple L property is just 5 years old and was built to be quiet (triple pane glass) it's clean and the perfect place for you to begin your adventures. There is a large garden level private bedroom with a king bed, a sofa in the family room, (1) queen blow up bed and a twin bed in the adjoining closet. The main level features a private bedroom with a queen bed, a queen convertible sleeper sectional and a twin-sized 'click clack' convertible bed in the main living room. We provide all sheets, blankets, pillows + extra sheets. We provide all of the kitchen accoutrements like pots, pans, dishes, bowls, drinking cups, glasses, coffee cups, utensils, wine opener, can opener, toaster, waffle stick maker, hot pads, coffee & filters + sweeteners/creamer. Plus kitchen towels, paper towels, napkins, disinfecting wipes, dish soap, fresh bar soap, tissues, first aid, games and extra blankets, quilts and pillows! Here's a list of what to do in this area: On the water -- Beach, swimming, sunbathing, people watching, Pearl of the Lake Historic River boat tours, Sail Pepin charter, Lake City Boat Club rentals, Eagle parasailing, fishing, walking through city waterfront parks, quick drive to 252 acre municipal-owned Hok-Si-La park (has netted gazebos for comfortable outdoor grillin/chillin) and a BIG BEAUTIFL beach! Dining, shopping, sight-seeing (more period homes here than any other town of its size in MN -- will provide a self-guided list) bird (especially Bald Eagles) watching, farmers markets, fairs, festivals, antiquing and events -- go to Lake (Website hidden by Airbnb) to learn even more! The Lake Pepin Wine Trail features (4) different wineries (Maiden Rock Winery, Villa Bellezza Winery, Flower Valley Vineyard, Lake Pepin Winery) Pepin Heights Orchard and Store are perfect in the fall and these places are just a short drive away: The National Eagle Center (Wabasha) Famous Lark Toys (Kellogg) Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum (Pepin WI) Charming towns of Maiden Rock and Stockholm WI. In the winter, the Coffee Mill Ski Resort that is just a 20 minute drive away! Please no smoking indoor or outdoor at La La's. You'll find a list of our favorite places when you arrive! Hello, La La's Landing was built for vacation rentals. It is a split-entry, modern lake house style home with (2) separate doors (entrances) from the back of the property. Guests have separate access (we leave the door unlocked for your arrival around 3 pm) and we leave the key on the inside ledge. Please park to the far right (gravel) side of the driveway -- if its raining/snowing, please park to the far right upper portion of the concrete driveway, thank you! Just a reminder -- La La's Landing is across the street from the lake, not on it. We do live here (upper level) and come and go now and then. We will not interact with you unless you initiate it or need something that affects your stay. This a mixed use neighborhood of both year round residential homes and vacation rentals. Lake City is the epitome of small town, mid-west American life -- life in second gear describes the ease of this place. You will experience a slower pace, stunning views and peaceful breezes off of the lake. Leave your city worries behind! You don't need to worry about rush-hour traffic, parking meters, pollution or loud and obnoxious 'city' noises! Its time to experience what it feels like to be a human being and not just a human doing. BREATHE! This is a very walk-able city and the other nearby attractions are all within about a half hour drive. We remain pet free and smoke free for the people who have small children and/or allergies.
