Unwind, enjoy the woods and pond while listening to the animals. The Oak Tree Cottage oozes country charm and is located in Bel Air, MD. The 480 square feet house is a renovated tractor barn. It has one full size main floor bedroom. The living room futon couch doubles as a full size bed. The loft is a children's paradise with movies, games and toys, and a little reading nook. The loft bedroom has a single bed and a full size bed. Max of 3 adults in the space as upstairs is best for kids. There is a small table outside to enjoy your morning coffee. We will provide fresh eggs, when our girls are laying, for you to enjoy at the farmhouse table that’s folded into the wall. Indoor seated table space for 4. Check out the button floor in the bathroom with over a thousand antique buttons individually glued into a beautiful design. The bedroom and bathroom both have custom barn doors with open shelving in the bedroom and hallway for storage. You will have access to the tree house on the property and can arrange to meet with the 7 goats, 8 hens, 2 barn cats and 1 old dog that live at Twin Oaks farm. Our farmhouse is right next door. Your bathroom will have a complementary bar of goat's milk soap sold here at the farm. We are 1.8 miles from a 6.25 mile multipurpose trail that follows the path of the old Ma and Pa railroad through Harford County. located 5.2 miles away is Jerusalem Mill. It is a museum and 18th century Quaker Village. It is located along the Little Gunpowder falls river. We are also located about 2 miles from the downtown area of Bel Air. It has a lovely library, multiple restaurants and boutique shops. Ladew Topiary Gardens is located in Monkton MD and 9.3 miles away. It is a 250 acre farm built in the 1920's and 1930's with the most beautiful gardens. From our house, it is a 37 minute drive to the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. The Inner Harbor is a sightseeing hub and home to a science center, planetarium and observatory, the National Aquarium and a collection of historic war ships. Located midway between Aberdeen Proving Ground and the military post at Edgewood, you can get to either in 30 minutes. We are a military family and choose to live off post in Bel Air because of all the town has to offer. You will need a car to get around. While you can walk around the farm and neighboring woods, there are no sidewalks on our road and public transport isn't offered. The loft space upstairs has low ceilings, so it’s best for kids, as a tall adult will bump their head! Remember is a tiny house, so we have utilized the space we have😉. We are dog friendly, but ONLY 1 dog. I’m sorry but we have sustained so much damage when we’ve allowed more than 1. Additionally, the space is very small, and only accommodate 1 fur baby per visit. I provide a crate, bed and 2 dog bowls. I will provide 2 rolls of toilet paper, a full roll of paper towels, 4 trash bags, ground coffee and a few pods if you prefer the keurig. You will need to supply the rest of your needs. Cleaning supplies are available in the house, as well.
