Welcome to our quiet cabin with 38 mostly wooded acres all to yourself. This area is known for it's 300 plus days of sunshine each year. Rest up and unplug, or bike and hike on the Klickitat Rails to Trails that borders our property. If you are adventurous you are welcome to hike all around the property. Wildlife, such as turkey and deer, are spotted daily. A propane fire pit outback with furniture to lounge in provides warmth for the peaceful evenings and star gazing. The entire property is yours to explore. There is a bunkhouse on the property that is locked up. This is the only place we do not allow guests. I will be available by phone or email during your stay and if I'm not available, my husband will be. We do not live close, this is our vacation home, but our housekeeper is near by and can usually assist. Klickitat Rails to Trails Trailhead is just three miles down the road from our cabin, or is accessed through our property by following a cliff side hike down the canyon. It's thirty miles of good biking, horseback or walking trail. The trail is not very populated and you'll find gorgeous flowers there in the spring, a little snow in the winter and basically sunshine nearly year round. Columbia River water access for swimming, fishing, boating and windsurfing are just fifteen minutes away, as is the Klickitat River. The cabin is small (320 square feet living area, 550 square feet counting loft sleeping area), which we hope the pictures adequately portray. This isn’t a luxury home, but it’s updated and well-kept. People who want to spend time in nature and away from people, this is the perfect getaway! The property and hiking are absolutely amazing! Winters are cold and even see some snow. Spring brings wild flowers of every color to the property. Fall brings cooler days and more wild animals out for you to observe. Summer is very hot, but the property has lots of trees and the trail is mostly shaded. I’ve hiked it on some of the hottest days, mid afternoon and have been totally fine. I know there is water to cool off in at the bottom. We enjoy the coziness of the cabin all year round and hope you do too!
