Up North Woodland Retreat

Ours is a "modern" rustic cabin in the beautiful Northwoods near Lakewood, WI. We are " silent sports" folks , but live in harmony with ATVers, snowmobilers, etc. and being 2 miles from town it's very peaceful. The snowmobile/ ATV trail does go right past our property but sounds seldom bother us. THIS IS OUR HOME, ( and we love it!), so we rent it out while we're travelling, making it a real " turn-key" set-up for guests. Cabin sits on 11 acres, mostly wooded. Large backyard includes fire pit with unlimited firewood and again, this is our home so you're welcome to use lawn chairs, hammock, etc. Lovely walking trails through woods and a brand new gazebo for dining or just hanging out. Inside you'll find all you'll need in cookware and kitchen staples, ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms as well as living and dining area along with A.C. when needed. Lakewood, 2 miles away has a good grocery store, a quaint outside burger and soft- serve ice cream stand, Sweet Memories, the mother of all candy stores, sporting goods, bait, some dining. 1 mi. to a good swimming beach, 9 mi. to a great one. Cabin has Dish Satellite television and a Blu ray DVD player HOWEVER, there is no WIFI available. A two mile drive to Lakewood will be necessary for that. The library (even just in the parking lot), the Super Valu and Northern Perks Coffee are some that we know of. Also, ski and snowshoe rentals are available in Lakewood at Lakewood Ski&Sport.
