Galena Cabins #2 of 4 - Right on the James River!

Enjoy a single bedroom, modern rustic cabin right on the James River in beautiful Galena, MO. With a full kitchen, bathroom, high speed wi-fi, and utilities, you can stay as long as you need to recreate and relax. Just two blocks from the historic Y Bridge and downtown square, it's a great place to experience small town life, and with the water literally a stone's throw from the deck and two float trip outfitters basically next door, it's a great place to experience the great James River from! The single bedroom cabins are so close to the water, they're built raised 12'-15' feet from the ground. Modern, but with rustic style, enjoy being indoors with beautiful all wood interiors, high speed internet, flat screen TVs with streaming access, full kitchen, comfy queen sized bed and sleeper sofa or futon, and a full bath you can soak in. Enjoy being outdoors with the shared deck, charcoal grill, picnic table, burn pit in the spacious yard, and private river access right off the side of the property! Enjoy a slower pace of night life with the small town charm of Historic Galena, including it's downtown square, community park, and Y Bridge, all just a two block's walk away. And if it's someone else's cooking you'd rather enjoy, there are several great home cooking restaurants within a twelve minute drive - one even within walking distance. We are available for emergency by phone, text, or email anytime, but please be considerate of normal sleeping considerations for other requests/needs. We live 50 minutes away, but can make the drive if necessary, or even greatly desired! Galena has been the center of the James River fishing and floating activity for over 100 years, and is experiencing a resurgence of interest because of it's history and timeless natural connections. Y Bridge was once considered a feat of engineering and human achievement, and has become a favorite walking bridge, as it crosses the James River in a unique setting and manner. Visit here on July 4th and experience a fireworks show like none other! Visit here in the spring for great fishing runs, the summer for relaxing, cooling float trips, and the fall for world famous Ozarks wilderness vistas! Not sure what would be great about winter here, other than the hot water plumbing and that the furnace works great, but you're still welcome! : ) In this small town, "public transportation" consists of walking and biking around the relatively quiet streets, sidewalks, and green space. Otherwise, driving your own car or truck is easy, as there seems to be no fast lane, until you find your way back onto the highway.
