Porchland Cottage is a hillside retreat featuring views of the countryside with large porches & is the perfect place for a get-away or visiting the Nashville area. The cottage is brand new-extremely clean-8 min to town-40 min to Nashville. Located on the hillside of historic South Tunnel railroad & close to neighboring Gallatin, the most haunted city in TN. The land was occupied during the civil war by Union soldiers and has an area that is considered “The Fort”, although no structure exists. *Private home with 3 comfortable bedrooms featuring 2 queen and 2 full size (double) beds. *All beds have gel infused memory foam mattresses for a cooling luxury sleep. *Master bedroom has its own private bath. *All bedrooms have full size mirrors to let you check out your look...especially if headed off to one of the local wedding venues. *All bedrooms have linens and comforters/quilts and pillows provided along with additional linens. *Bathrooms have plenty of cushy towels to ensure you never run out! Master bedroom has an attached en-suite with tile shower. Upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo. *A comfortable sofa in the living room sleeps an additional guest, if necessary. *All TV’s are smart with Roku that has connections to Netflix, Amazon, etc. *Over 120 Xfinity TV channels. Hi speed Wifi/internet access available through Xfinity *Washer and dryer provided with laundry pods and dryer sheets. *Full kitchen with all your cooking necessities including a Keurig and regular coffee maker with filters, blender, mixer and slow cooker too! *Children's dishes and plastic cups are provided. *Gas grill with extra propane tank and cooking utensils provided. *Enjoy the outdoors with a fire pit that includes 6 Adirondack chairs and natural log stools/side tables that can also be used for extra seating. * A pack and play and safety gate are provided for children. *Porches come furnished with plenty of sitting/rocking chairs for added relaxation and wildlife watching. Rabbits, squirrels, turkey and deer are a common site! *If bringing pets, a small fee for two pets or less of $50 is included in your price breakdown. If you desire to bring more than two pets, you must get pre-approval from the host before booking. We are located just minutes from the property for any help or assistance needed but our level of interaction is up to you. We also offer phone or text assistance. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival. The neighborhood is family friendly and quiet. Within minutes of town, close to all the major restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. You will find a listing of all the local favorites in the guest information guide once you arrive. This is a great area for touring historic sites, chilling on the square in Gallatin to people watch, attending weddings or venturing off to see what's happening in nearby Nashville. The house is located just off the 109 Bypass which connects to local areas easily like Gallatin, Portland, Castalian Springs, Hendersonville, and Cottontown. It also links to I-65 and the DT Nashville area (about 40 minute drive). Approx. 45 minutes to BNA Airport in Nashville. While the address is Portland, your GPS may list it as Gallatin. It may also list it as “Road.” The property is in between Gallatin and Portland. If you desire to bring more than 2 pets, you must get pre-approval from the host before booking. Since it is in the country, insect spray is recommended in the summer time.
