The School House At Cross Keys - Near Massanutten
One of the most unique homes in the Shenandoah Valley! Built in 1910 as a community gathering place and now restored into a home the experience will not disappoint. Spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and awesome indoor & outdoor living spaces make this home perfect for large groups and celebrations. The outdoor space offers two large decks, covered front porch and charcoal grill over looking the mountains. Indoor offers spacious rooms, ping pong, 75” TV, and so much more! We own a total of 5 acres. Our family lives next door as you walk through the woods in the front yard. Feel free to walk around the property one full loop is about 1/2 of a mile. We have a chicken coop with laying hens at any given time of the year, and a wide open field you will often see our kids playing pick up football or kickball on. At the end of the field you will see a herd of cattle and in the distance hear goats. The front field is about 150 acres which is where The Battle of Cross Keys took place, it is currently being cultivated as an orchard which will include pick your own apples peaches, pears, and all sorts of berries. If you have the chance and are an early riser sure you check out the sunrise at least one of the mornings you’re visiting! We respect our guests privacy yet live just up the hill so if you need us we are usually available. This home is nestled in the trees with a fabulous view just minutes away from the White Oak Lavender Farm, Crosskeys Vinyard, Bricks and Column Vineyard, Massanutten Four Seasons Resort, Grand Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, and all that downtown Harrisonburg has to offer, fine dining, shops, pubs/bars, parks etc... Plenty of parking on the property for 5+/- cars.
