Welcome to Deer Casita! Drive up one of the most scenic roads in the area to our lovingly restored home in the middle of the Catskills mountains. Whether you want to rest and recharge after a long day skiing and exploring, or take up residence for a longer stay, we look forward to hosting your perfect getaway. You will enjoy peaceful, mountain fresh air and starry nights and the sound of the flowing Esopus creek. As you enter Deer Casita, you’ll encounter a grand living area with vaulted ceilings, where you can relax with a glass of wine while listening to a record from our curated vinyl collection and enjoy meals in our cozy dining area which comfortably fits 6. Living room includes a 50-inch streaming-enabled TV. The living room, dining area, breakfast counter and fully-stocked chef kitchen follow an open concept and are fully integrated and great for socializing. On the ground floor there is also a grand master suite with a Queen bed, safe box, private bathroom, home office with two desks and lounge area. You will also find a laundry space (washer & dryer) and a full bathroom. On the second floor there is a beautiful bedroom with A-frame ceilings and a Queen bed, plus a third bedroom with 2 cozy Twin beds and a half bathroom. The hallway has an inviting reading corner to dive into your favorite books. Our deck has a dining area where you can enjoy BBQing on our Weber Grill and take in the surrounding nature, as well as occasional visits from friendly deer! In the vast backyard you will find a beautiful set of Adirondack chairs around an outdoor fire pit to which you can bring cozy blankets, hot chocolate, and S’mores during cold season! You will be able to enjoy the entire property and quiet surrounding grounds, which are located in a dead end with no neighbors to block your private view. For all you winter sport enthusiasts, you are just a 10 min drive from Belleayre, 30 mins to Hunter and 35 mins to Windham resort. If you prefer to explore the quaint towns of the region we are a 15 min from Phoenicia and 35 min form Woodstock. We have free onsite parking and to take advantage of the region we recommend a car.
