Adirondack Suite in Historic Mansion

Enjoy a private suite this 1860s mansion set in a park-like atmosphere. We've painstakingly restored this hidden gem to retain its old-fashioned charms, but have filled it with modern conveniences and luxuries like soaking tubs, kitchenettes and high-end bedding. Just off Exit 22 of the NYS Thruway, Peltz Estate is 15 minutes from downtown Albany. The Adirondack Suite features: Sleeping accommodations for four: - An adjustable split king bed with massage. - A futon with a coil mattress that can convert to a comfortable full size bed. Bath and kitchenette: The room has a private bath with a spa tub, glass shower and towel warmer. There is also a private kitchenette with sink, microwave and refrigerator. All the kitchen basics are supplied, including a coffee maker. Breakfast: Join us for a filling continental breakfast between 7 and 10 each morning in the parlor. Fantastic scenery: Peltz Estate has a park-like setting. Guests enjoy views of the pond, the east bank of the Hudson River, our herb and perennial garden, open fields and the lovely woodland that surrounds the house. Other amenities: - Large smart TV. - Desk with comfortable chair, light and charging station. There are several guest-only common areas to enjoy on the first floor including a parlor with a fireplace, perfect for an evening cocktail or game night. Or cozy up in a comfortable chair in the library with one of our antique or vintage books by a second working fireplace. A huge porch with comfortable wicker furniture overlooks the pond, our herb and perennial garden and the east bank of the Hudson River. End the day toasting a marshmallow in Adirondack chairs by our fire pit. Please note there is no full size kitchen for use by guests. This home is 7,500 sq foot and our caretakers and co-hosts, Becky and Mike, live in the back end of the house. They have their own private entrance and there are locked doors between their space and guests' space, including common areas. Guests have very little interaction unless they choose too. Peltz Estate was once a working 200+ acre farm. Much of it is now owned by a land conservancy group. A public hiking trail that goes all the way to the Hudson River runs down the side of the property. The estate still has its ice house, laundry house, carriage house, horse barn, hay barn and other outbuildings. Yanni's Too Restaurant, famous for its calamari, is just down the road in Coeymans. Downtown Albany is a 15 minute drive. You can be on the Berkshire Spur, which connect to the Massachusetts Turnpike, in minutes. Saratoga is 45 minutes north, while Hudson is 45 minutes south.
