One level cottage that provides all the modern conveniences within a home built in the 1950’s. Cook your dinner in a well stocked kitchen with fresh seafood from the local Independent Seafood Dock just three blocks away...or continue up the street to many dining establishments on along the waterfront. There are many historic sites to visit. Brochures are provided. Books and games are provided also. Enjoy coffee or cocktails on the screened in porch! Day trips are easy! Beaches: Take St James St to the North and head for the beautiful Bridges across three rivers that converge into Winyah Bay. Pawleys Island is a public beach that is uncrowded and only 10 min. away. Continue on to Murrels Inlet for dining on the waterfront. Then onto Myrtle Beach 30 miles from the Rice Cottage. Also you may enjoy visiting Brookegreen Gardens that’s along the way. Historic Charleston- head South on St James St to Front Street, head South 60 miles and you are in Charleston! Stop at Hopsewee Plantation for a tour of a 1740 Historic Rice Plantation Home and lunch in the River Room Restaurant adjacent to the house. Stop in to visit the historic Victorian Village of McClellanville for site seeing and great dining on local seafood…you can buy fresh seafood from the docks were the boats dock to take home! The area has so much to offer! Enjoy your busy day on the beach, shopping right touring. Then come relax at the Rice Cottage on the screen porch, old English brick patio enclosed with a privacy fence and lovely backyard. Or just relax in house with comfortable furniture and beds. The Cottage has all of the modern conveniences! If you need anything, we are nearby and only a call or text away. Easy check-in and check- out! Unlock your stay by pushing a code on the front door. Access is only two steps to the front door from a lovely brick walkway connected to the street sidewalk. Park in the driveway and/or on the concrete pad in front. Take a walk around the neighborhood. Visit the historic Prince George Episcopal Church for a tour or worship. Easy check-in and check-out, but we live close by and are available to assist you with anything you need. We are only a call or text away! Close to fresh seafood right off the boats, fantastic dining establishments along the waterfront and historic sites. Bring your boat...public parking and access is less than a mile away! Car is easiest, parking is plentiful...but if you like (Website hidden by Airbnb) grand! Neighborhood is safe. Neighbors are friendly. It is a wonderful walking under the Live Oaks and site seeing historic homes. The age of the Historic homes plaques with their dates.
