Charming Cottage Beautiful Historic Neighborhood
Enjoy a fun get away in this historic cottage at the heart of Tupelo! This 78 year old home has been renovated with modern luxuries but still maintains the cozy cottage vibe. Walking/biking (sidewalks all the way) distance to Tupelo's quaint downtown, full of locally owned shops, restaurants, art galleries and "one of a kind gifts". For the fans of Elvis stop by Tupelo Hardware where Elvis bought his first guitar and from there it's a short distance to the Elvis museum and his childhood home. The square feet of the home is minimal but the house itself lives much bigger. I have owned the property twice, yes that's right!!! I have always loved the way it looks inside and out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. The house also has a security system with a keyless entry. The front door, in my opinion, is the best way to come in and out of the house but if its raining the sliding door under the carport is very handy! I'm in Tupelo a lot of the time so it's possible I could be in town. I will alway be available if guest have a question or need help. Even if I'm not in town I have family and other resources I can call upon if needed. There are only 6 homes on this block, all Historic. I personally know all the neighbors and most have lived here a long time. It's unique because the old high school football field, Dudy Noble Field , stadium is across from the houses along with Church Street Elementary School. The Art Deco school was built by designer, N. W. Overstreet. The current building was built after the tornado of 1936. The neighbor is charming and a fun place to walk around. Each house has a very unique style and the nearby churches are just as beautiful. Everything you could need is in walking/biking distance. Taxi or Uber are available in the area. There is a park and walking track directly across from the house. If extra parking is needed you can use Church St, parking at the curb is acceptable in this location. This is at the intersection of Jackson St and Church St. about 300 ft from the property. The garbage runs on Tuesday and Friday if you're there long enough to need to put it at the curb. The neighbors in the yellow house next door are, Charlie and Ginna, they have lived there 23 years and know everything about Tupelo. If you see them out on the front porch go say hello.
