Shady Pines Inn is a vacation rental located .7 mile from Exit 133 off interstate 64. Ten minutes to Cave Run Lake and Morehead. 3 bedrooms, king, queen & 2 twin beds, 2 new cots with memory foam toppers. 1.5 baths,living room with 2 couches & 3 chairs. Full kitchen, accessible tub/shower. Snacks, cereal/granola bars, oatmeal, donuts, bread, bagels, local eggs, coffee, tea. Any combo of these items will be offered. Quiet and serene, guests can relax on the deck and enjoy the woods, pond, fire pit, propane grill (March-October), hiking trail, and many bird species. The Inn is located near the wood line. Surrounded by nature, you should expect all the woods have to offer. While access is easy from KY 801 the quiet is still maintained. The basement is not accessible. This is a tobacco free home. Please smoke, dip, vape by the red barn. The space is marked. Smoking anywhere other than the designated area or in the house will be an automatic forfeiture of the $350 security deposit. The Inn is also home to Tilly’s Mercantile, a Kentucky Proud soap, lotions, and potions cottage business. Complimentary samples can be found in the en suite bathroom. Display in the kitchen with soaps and bath and body products for sale! The hosts lives nearby on adjoining property. There are 3 buildings on the property all of which are inaccessible to guests. The buildings are clearly marked with keep out signs. You may fish in the pond & gear is located in the shed on car port. Fishing is catch and release. Upon booking you agree to supervise children at all times and please NO swimming, diving, boating, or skating. As with all water areas be aware of footing. The pond is open for fishing March-November. Hike the walking trail, Springer’s Run, named for our first black lab. Be mindful of footing and natural landscapes. Wear appropriate footwear and brightly colored clothing. The trail is a continual work in progress. Please take normal precautions when hiking in the woods. Distance .4 mile. The Inn is yours for a peaceful and restful stay. Self check in. The basement property is checked twice daily, along with watering outdoor plants and preventative maintenance checks. (Mostly during summer months) Trash day is Sunday, so you can expect someone will be on the property. During the summer months the lawn care company provides service and days vary according to weather. We can be reached by phone, email, or text. Text is most efficient. You will be notified upon arrival of any scheduled maintenance. Our goal, is of course, to offer you an uninterrupted stay. The Inn is located directly off state road KY 801. 801 is your direct route to Cave Run Lake and Interstate 64. There are several small neighborhoods and many single family homes within a 2 mile area. There is a truck stop with a diner and there is a Subway in the BP. Dollar General is a 5 minute drive to Farmers, KY. Morehead State University and St. Claire Regional Medical Center is 15 minutes eastbound at exit 137. See the welcome notebook for local info. Roku in king, queen and twin rooms. Speedy wifi. Please be reminded there are two cats, Rascal and Fluff that roam the property. They are friendly, cuddly, and vaccinated but we prefer they remain off the main floor of house. You might find them sunning on the deck! :) If you plan use any of the infant/child equipment please request that prior to arrival so that items will be placed out for your convenience! Dogs considered. $50 fee Please message host regarding dogs :) prior to booking. There is a $50 cleaning housekeeping fee. ABSOLUTELY NO AVIATION ON THE PROPERTY. NO HELICOPTERS, DRONES, GLIDERS and/or other devices that might interfere with utilities or neighboring property! Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
