This spacious basement features 1 bedroom with a queen bed, as well as a pull out couch, for up to 4 guests. An upscale bathroom with shower features a glass block window and slate tile floor. Fresh, clean linens and standard toiletries provided - as well as a hair dryer. Also provided is glassware, a Nespresso coffee maker, mini fridge, records, games, and puzzles. Full, private, 1-bedroom basement with living space, pull-out couch, dining area, coffee bar, and 3/4 bath. Excelsior is one of the not-so hidden gems of Minnesota as it lies on the south shore of Lake Minnetonka and has long been a place of escape for those caught in the hustle and bustle of city life, just 20 minutes west of downtown Minneapolis and all that has to offer including live music, art museums, sports, and the University of Minnesota. One of the great aspects of this location and Excelsior is the walkability. Park and forget it. Uber is an option, as well as taxis if called in advance and limited bus service. Bikes available upon request. You're right on the Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail for walking, running, and biking. There are boat and jet ski rentals on the lake, as well as kayaks and paddleboards at the end of Water St. Fat tire bike rentals for the snow in the winter also right in town. Regional Trail for biking, running, walking just a block away. Excelsior Commons is a historic public park on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, with playground, beaches, tennis courts, and a bandshell. Being a 100 year old house, you may hear some noise from time to time of those walking on the floor above you. This has not been an issue for most guests.
