Outside, there is a compost toilet in an outhouse. There is also an outdoor shower and sink (weather dependent, closed in the winter) as well as an indoor washroom with a shower and sink, all with hot water. *Please note that the indoor guest bathroom is closed between December 15 and March 31. There is also an outdoor kitchenette beneath a gazebo (with a roof, but not fully enclosed), equipped with a kettle, a coffee maker, a water dispenser, a very small fridge containing milk and cream, and complimentary coffee and tea. There are also tuck shop items for sale, including firewood. *Please note that the outdoor kitchen closes for the winter season between December 1 and May 15. Both the washroom and kitchenette are shared with other guests, but cleaned and sanitized often. Your bunkie has a picnic table and BBQ outside. There is also a large communal firepit in the open space outside the bunkies and we sell firewood and bbq fuel onsite. And make sure you check out the "Secret Garden" - follow the path into the woods beside the "Wagamese Bunkie". There is a hammock and benches in the garden (depending on the season). Bed linens, towels, soap and shampoo are provided. Wifi is available, but it comes from the main house via a wifi extender, so it will not work for streaming. The bunkie is lit with portable battery operated lamps. You can find replacement batteries in the outdoor kitchen. There is also one electrical outlet and a small heater inside the bunkie. This bunkie is insulated, however please come prepared with extra blankets for colder nights (we supply sheets, a quilt and a comforter). There is no smoking inside but the property is 420 friendly. Parking is available. have full access to our 3 acre property, except the garage and the main house, which is our personal residence. Feel free to go anywhere else on the property, including the Secret Garden in the woods. Please maintain 6.5 feet of social distance or more. It’s best to just wave to people right now. We like our privacy, and we're sure you like yours, so we offer self check-in and out via a lockbox, although we're available by phone and text should anything come up during your stay. With the current virus situation, we are practicing social distancing. If you need anything, just let us know and we'll leave it on your porch for you to pick up. Hepworth has a Tim Horton's, a convenience store with a small grocery section (1 minute walk away), and a gas station. There is also a golf club and a cross country ski and snowshoe club. Sauble Beach is 7 minutes by car, Wiarton is 10 minutes, Owen Sound is 20 minutes, Lion's Head is 40 minutes, and Tobermory is a bit more than an hour (times are approximate). Hepworth is in the Bruce Peninsula, so there are many Bruce Trail access points within a short driving distance. You can also visit the numerous waterfalls located in Grey/Bruce, including Inglis Falls. You can walk to Tim Horton's (a short distance is along the side of the highway - 50 km zone - before you reach the sidewalk). You can also walk to the convenience story, the golf club, the gas station, and a public park. The ski club is also walkable, but it takes about 20 minutes to walk (or 2 minutes by car). Everything else requires a car. Please note the following: Our property is located off highway 6, so you can hear the traffic. There is a compost toilet, an outdoor shower, an outdoor sink, and an outdoor kitchenette. This is a rustic setup - if you are expecting a fancy hotel, this isn't it. ;) Please understand that this is a “glamping” experience. It’s like camping. This means that the bunkie will be hot on hot days, cold on cold days, although we provide fans & heaters. This also means you will see bugs, sometimes inside as well as outside. If you can’t handle bugs, please don’t book! Note that we’re beside highway 6 so there is traffic noise. Don’t book with us if camping and all that goes along with it isn’t your thing.
