This brand-new, bright and spacious apartment with private bathroom and private entrance is located on the second floor of our beloved stone farmhouse. Unwind and enjoy nature with miles of walking trails through our pasture and forest. The apartment features a full kitchen, A/C, T.V. (about a dozen channels) and internet (beware, internet can be slow in the country). Whether you are travelling for pleasure, family or business, enjoy a peaceful country getaway with all the amenities of home. This apartment is perfect for a romantic getaway, for long-term work stays or simply to unwind and relax. The space was tastefully renovated to highlight the magnificent view of the surrounding farmland and to instill peace and calm. An exquisite south-facing deck offers a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee, soak up some sun or to stargaze with a bottle of wine. You’ll find restored original pine floors, exposed stone walls and a tasteful décor. You’ll also enjoy cozy reading nooks, a comfortable bed with fluffy duvets, a full kitchen, full bathroom with a great tub to soak in and a washer dryer. We are within walking distance of a grocery and wine store *** Please note that we live and work downstairs. Although we've done our best to soundproof the apartment, we can hear loud sounds from upstairs. Guests have access to second floor deck and walking trails through the pasture and forest. Areas that are restricted to guests are: yard surrounding house, gardens, first floor deck, pool, garage, sheds and barn. Only registered guests are allowed on site. My husband and I live on site, we value our privacy as well as yours. Only registered guests are allowed one site. Some areas are off-limits to guests such as the yard and gardens surrounding the house, our private deck and pool as well as the storage sheds and barn. However, with your own private deck to enjoy as well as 30 acres of forest and pasture to explore, we think you'll be just fine. Guests can reach me by text message during the day time with any questions or concerns. The Chateauguay Valley is a hidden gem. (see our guidebook for local hotspots) Come explore the countryside and enjoy golfing, cycling, kayaking, apple picking, autumn colours, sugar shanties, microbreweries, wineries, pubs and much more. We have a couple of great restaurants that are within walking distance as well as our world-famous Leblanc Patate offering the best hot dog and poutine you've ever tasted... all part of the authentic Quebec experience. Downtown Montreal is only one hour away with its abundant offerings. We are 35 minutes from Valleyfield and Beauharnois and about 45 minutes from Chateauguay. Our forest is criss-crossed with beautiful trails for you to enjoy. Spring, fall and winter are ideal times in the bush. The bugs can be fierce in summer. Enjoy walking, pick-nicking cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, four wheeling or skidooing on site (your equipment) . We don't charge a cleaning fee so please leave the space clean and tidy when you leave.
