Waterfront Cottage at Goose Creek
Our Cottage at Goose Creek is the perfect weekend getaway, located 2 miles from the town of Middleburg and nestled on 12 acres overlooking Goose Creek. The creek is accessible for fishing, kayaking, and exploring. Enjoy all the charm of Western Loudoun and all the amenities of nearby Middleburg. We are committed to AirBnB’s enhanced cleaning protocol. Additionally, we have a 48-hour buffer time between guests. We want to ensure your stay is both enjoyable and safe. Please contact us for any specific concerns. The Cottage is a spacious one bedroom with an open floor plan and pullout couch - plenty of room for a small family or close friends. The bedroom features linens, pillows, and french doors that open to a view of Goose Creek. The bathroom, accessed through the bedroom, offers both a shower and separate bath. The Cottage has a full and stocked kitchen. An outdoor shower is located on the side of the house for use after playing in the creek in warmer months. Outdoor seating allows you to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of Goose Creek. There are limited horse facilities. Turn out, run-in shed and wash stall. Please inquire before booking. Guests have exclusive use of the cottage. Guests have full access to the 12-acre grounds with the exception of the main house and its immediate area and a storage barn. We live on the property, but the cottage is very private. Contact by AirBnB messaging is preferred; we will respond as quickly as possible. Middleburg is a beautiful, walkable historic town and the center of Virginia Hunt and Wine Country. The Cottage offers a fantastic launch pad to explore all that Western Loudoun has to offer or an idyllic place to escape from it all. Salamader Resort and Spa is a short distance and offers spa services and luxury dining. Red Fox Inn and Tavern, established in 1728, is one of the oldest continuously operating inns in the US and one of our favorite dining destinations. For more casual dining, Red Bar Sushi, Thaiverse, King Street Oyster, and Red Horse Tavern are all recommended. Parking is plentiful, but public transportation is not. Middleburg is accessible by car, hike, or bike (along Rt 50 - John Mosby Hwy). We welcome friendly, well-behaved dogs, but we have a $50 pet fee. Please message about your pet before booking. We love everything about Western Loudoun… except the availability of internet. We do provide the best we can get, but options are currently limited. If you have WiFi-calling enabled on your phone, you should be able to place WiFi calls and stream Netflix/Amazon. If high speed internet is a requirement for your vacation, we may not be the best fit. Fast free WiFi is available from the Library and Safeway parking lots. We hope to be able to provide better service next year - we’re anxiously awaiting for better options to become available. The cottage is toward the end of a 1 mile gravel road typical of Western Loudoun. For visiting our cottage and this area, 4WD is recommended. Standard vehicles can certainly handle it, but expect to go slow and watch for deer.
