Historic 1886 Farmhouse Cottage

Relax and get away to the countryside! Jefferson is centrally located to enjoy the historic site of Harpers Ferry, explore the shops, art and fine food restaurants of Frederick, or take a scenic drive to award winning wineries and breweries! Cozy, two bedroom cottage is ideal for a family/group of friends. Each bedroom has a bath while living room pull-out sofa can accommodate two additional guests. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, outdoor seating and porches. Now with WIFI and Roku Built in 1886, this cottage was originally part of a large dairy farm. The main property, often referred to as Right is Right Farm, was previously owned by the Lovell family who lived there for over three generations. The cottage remained vacant since the early 1970's and had one bath and a second winding service staircase in the back. The original wood siding, shutters, plaster, trim and wood flooring was fully restored. Guests park and enter the property from a shared driveway to the rear of the home. Entrance into the house is through the back door in the kitchen. Guests have access to the backyard and front yard of Cottage property. Since the cottage was originally part of the neighboring property, it is very close to barns and out buildings. As tempting as they are to investigate, please note that this is the neighbors private property. Please stay only on Cottage property. I live in a neighboring town but please do not hesitate to contact me if you any questions or concerns. Jefferson is a rural town, surrounded by bucolic views of farms and open sky. Its' central location: 15 min. from Frederick, Harpers Ferry, Brunswick train station and an hour from Washington DC, has made this quaint little town a perfect, quick get away.
