Gatsby’s Secret Retreat

This beautiful and private in-law suite has it's own entrance, plenty of parking right out front, and offers a zen like space. This is in a great neighborhood only 3 blocks from downtown Moorestown, 1 block to Strawbridge Lake Park, & close proximity to 295 & exit 4 of the turnpike for easy access to NYC and Phily. We love the romance of the roaring 20’s as the decor of Gatsby’s Library and Retreat exudes. The suite comes with a mini fridge and a convection oven/microwave and a coffee maker. This incredible suite is quiet and relaxing with great filtered light and high end finishes. All teak flooring with the exception of the marbled floor bathroom. Relax and enjoy the filtered light with sheer curtains in the living area. This is a very comfortable and lovely space to curl up on the couch and turn the electric candles on in the candlplace. There is a huge barn door that separates the living room and bedroom. The bath is highly appointed however the shower is lower than normal but comfortable enough for me at 6', however I do have to duck a little to wash my hair. The foyer is beautiful with handmade coat hooks and shelves as well as an 1880's fireplace mantle. There is a small rustic seating area for two outside the suite to enjoy time outdoors. The suite is connected to the home, however completely separated from the rest of the home. Our guests will have the suite to themselves without any shared space. For our guests safety and peace of mind there is an air purifier that cleans 99.7% of bacterias and viruses. There is high speed internet but no cable TV. There is Roku that guests can connect to and you stream to the TV. Military personnel coming in with non-A’s from JB MDL contact me directly to ensure we meet the per diem rates. The entrance to the private suite leads into a corridor with access to the living room, bedroom and bathroom. This suite is separate from the rest of the home for guest privacy. The day of your arrival an access code will be sent to you for the lockbox. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we have made the check in process autonomous. We will provide instructions on the day of check in with the code to access the home. We will be available by phone or text for anything we might be able to help you with. Moorestown has great restaurants and a small town New England vibe. Lots of outdoor seating in the restaurants and it is very walkable at only 3-4 blocks from your suite. We love that Moorestown is a dry town because nearly every restaurant is a BYOB! Strawbridge Lake park has pleasant scenery and allows for a walk of 1.5 to 3.2 miles with either 1 or 2 road crossings depending on your length. The walk is flat and easy. Expect to see all kinds of diverse foliage, eagles, song birds, rabbit, and maybe even the occasional porcupine, skunks or beaver. There is a small tree arboretum that has pines that I have never seen before. Or have the kids play at the large kids park or play on the stone bears! If a track is more your style just detour into Memorial Park which adjoins Strawbridge Lake park and you can go for a run on the stone track or play baseball or soccer on one of the many fields in the park. There is a bus stop a block away that I am told will take you pretty much where ever you want to go. The suite is located approximately 30 minutes to Philadelphia International Airport and Ubers are about $50 to the airport and $25 to center city PA. There is a train station (Hamilton) that is approximately a 30 minute drive front he suite or 10 mins to the rain to Philadelphia. But once you arrive there is no need for a car since everything in Moorestown is walkable from the house. Lots of restaurants and shops for your convenience. There are a couple of pharmacies, and numerous churches. There are 2 malls approximately 2 miles away in opposite directions. One has a movie theater and the standard mall attractions. The other features a Wegman’s, Costco, Target and tons of restaurants to choose from. Please do not request a lower rate, our rate is already lower than any comparable hotel in the area.
