Vineyard Mansion - Lincoln Room
Vineyard Mansion & Carriage House - Lincoln Room
We are proud to offer the Lincoln Room at the historic Vineyard Mansion. The Vineyard Mansion property was built, in 1890, by the famed architectural firm of Eckel and Mann for B.R. Vineyard, who was a prominent attorney in St. Joseph, MO. Although this Romanesque Revival-style house was divided into apartments in the 1940's, it has been meticulously restored back to its original use. The Lincoln Room features an intricately carved, queen-size, canopy bed, a stately fireplace, and en suite bath with antique, pedestal-style sink. There is also a cozy seating area under the cheerfully-lit bay windows. The Vineyard Mansion property is located within the Museum Hill Historic District, an area of St. Joseph well-known for its Victorian-era homes and buildings. Strolling through the neighborhood, guests can observe beautiful examples of Italianate, Second Empire, Queen Anne, American Foursquare, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow/Craftsman style architecture. Additionally, the property is within walking distance of multiple attractions, including restaurants, bars, parks, art, culture, and the St. Joseph Museum, which sits just across the street. Guests booking now enjoy a discounted rate, as we are still restoring some sections of the property. So you will not only pocket some savings, but you will also get to see a bit of the restoration process, in action.
