Loonsong Cottage and Bunkhouse

This beautiful lake front property is a northern Michigan gem. Between the cottage and the bunkhouse the property sleeps 7 total guests (full/twin bunk in bunkhouse, 1 queen, 1 full bed in the main cottage). Semi-rustic outdoor bunkhouse is the third bedroom space and includes a counter, mini fridge, tv, microwave, and small lounge area. The main cottage includes a nespresso machine, living room with fireplace, full kitchen, dining space, bathroom and two bedrooms. Fire pit with one of a kind marshmallow grilling sticks, perfect for families or friends to relax by the fire and look out over the lake. Small screened porch in back to relax and read a book. Large front deck with outdoor grill to relax with a glass of wine under the glowing string lights. Small back deck with seating to relax and catch some shade during the day. Access to kayaks with life jackets for exploring the area and lots of amenities! There is a smart lock and keypad with access to the main cottage, in addition to a wall mounted lockbox with keys to the garage bunkhouse space. I do not live near the property, however my co-host Michelle lives a short distance away and can be there if you need anything. I am available via the app or can be reached via phone of there are any issues or questions. Hubbard lake is small community, but has a lot of outdoor activities to offer. There are lots of nearby trails, local restaurants around Hubbard lake or located in Alpena, about a half hour drive from the lake. There are also two golf courses nearby if you're a golfer! Check out our guidebook for recommendations. Located about 30 minutes from Alpena and 20 minutes from Ossineke. The bunkhouse is a rustic space. When you book this listing you have the entire cottage plus the bunkhouse for use. This allows us to sleep up to seven people total including the two bedrooms in the cottage and the beds in the bunkhouse. It is perfect for children or extended family members (also great for social distancing!). Pets are allowed but please tell us prior to your stay. We charge and additional $50 total and ask that you clean up inside and outside in the yard after your pet!
