Lake is a short beautiful trail walk from the cottage. ‘As sly as a red fox’ A well-supplied kitchen, WiFi, Roku, BBQ grill, Amish made porch rocking chairs, patio chairs w/fire pit on the deck to view the wildlife and nature that surrounds you. 3 bedrooms (all king beds) 2nd floor one bedroom with bathroom w/tub 1st floor two bedrooms with king beds and large walk-in shower Basement - just a basement to keep the patio furniture in during the winter, no real use to the renters, but locked for the safety of children. Located in Alpine Lake Resort, a gated community in Terra Alta, WV, you as a guest will have access to the 18 hole golf course, indoor heated swimming pool, Gameroom, mini-golf, indoor gym, restaurant, hiking trails, 150-acre lake for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. 18 hole Golf - additional fee to Alpine Lake (must drive to) Gym/Gameroom and Pool - key access (no additional charge) (must drive to) Hiking - no additional charge Swimming/Beach - no additional charge (about a 10-minute walk) Put Put Golf - additional charge to Alpine Lake (must drive to) fishing - one-day fishing license needed (short 10-minute walk) (apply online WV DNR) - online Kayaking - Rentals available with Alpine Lake - additional charge - check availability with Alpine Lake. (currently, no kyacks rented due to COVID-19) Nature: lots of nature on the property, acorns (if you hear a random ding on the roof - its an acorn and said to bring good luck) ferns and woodsy area, deer thought Alpine Lake resort, the front patio area is very rocky, ferns, moss and nature-like. The sidewalk is also made of rocks and not perfectly even. During the Fall months (end of September through November there will be many leaves and acorns fall on the porch - even while you are outside relaxing). whole cottage Our office is located at the entrance of Alpine Lake Resort 1657 Alpine Lake Road Open Wednesday - Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday must have a vehicle for this location Restaurants: not many restaurants in the area, plan on bringing food. Speed Limit in the Resort Area: 25 mph and 15 mph Quiet time 10pm - 9am The basement is just a basement - nothing special other than storage for the patio furniture. We did put a lock on the basement door for the safety of small children.
