Take a ride to the village and enjoy a yummy meal at The Inn at the Bridge (tell Chef/owner Mike & Lorrie hello from Jim & Andrea - they are good friends), Timeless Tavern, or The Local/Fine & Dine. Reservations suggested for all 3. Take the time peruse the 5 & Dime and the little soap shop by the post office. There are hiking trails and of course several directions to drive to observe the beautiful Adirondacks during as the leaves transform from bright green to beautiful yellows, orange and red. And don’t forget to take a drive around the Great Sacandaga Lake - this is a 32 mile long lake and beautiful. Stop along the way at Sport Island Pub, Lakeside Taver, or Lanzis on the Lake and have drink on the deck and try some of their pub fare. Your automobile is necessary - no ubers or taxis up in these parts :) We do have ample parking - easily 6- 8 vehicles If it snows we do have a plow service but there is also a pile of sand at the top of the driveway covered by a blue tarp - this can be spread down the driveway if to icy to get up the drive.
