Come&Rest Spacious retreat w/forest view +hot tub

Come away and rest awhile in our spacious 1200 sf Guest Suite Retreat. Walk down the side stairs to your private entrance and immense deck - and feel free to cozy up inside or kick up your feet and enjoy peaceful forest views. The Brezee Creek walking trail passes through our property and the wetlands are a lovely walk. And if you want to get out and about, check out the numerous local wineries or antiques. Portland is 30 min. south, Ilani casino and fairgrounds (concerts) are minutes away. Our 7 person hot tub is available for your enjoyment, as well as a firepit - and we'll happily supply your first bundle of wood. Kitchen has basic spices and olive oil, coffee and tea to get you started, full-size fridge, dishwasher, 2 burner induction hot plate, convection microwave, and countertop toaster oven (sorry no full size oven), and a Pur water filter on the kitchen sink. We also have a George Foreman grill and a gas grill on the deck. Plates, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, tupperware, mixing bowls, blender... it's well equipped. Yes - we have fast WiFi and a Roku tv in the living space and available high chair, pack n play and Queen Air Mattress if needed. And, well behaved potty-trained dogs welcome - but no more than 2. Because of our extra cleaning costs, we will charge you an extra $20/DOG PER NIGHT. We’ll make an alteration request to your reservation for this extra fee after you make your reservation. You must accept this request to keep your booking. Sorry, no other pets allowed. Please clean up after your pets and we don’t allow them to be unattended in the space and ask that you do not allow them on any furniture, bedding or throw blankets. If you are uncomfortable with dogs, this is not the space for you as we have 2 large friendly dogs who use the fenced backyard and will come on the deck outside your unit begging you for belly rubs! We have 2 beds (King and Full) and one raised Queen Air mattress (lots of floor space). Oh - and we do live upstairs so you'll hear some normal life like kitties chasing each other, footsteps, dogs barking at UPS truck, and hopefully some laughter :) because we like to laugh. You have access to your private guest space, the lower deck, the hot tub (shared with us, but not at the same time) and backyard areas. We’re usually available (we live upstairs) and can answer any questions to help you connect to local activities (hikes, wineries, antique stores, restaurants, etc). The upstairs deck is private, no access for guests. We live in the main space of the property above the AirBnB unit and are available if needed. We do have a friendly Saint Bernard and Black Lab on the property who you’ll likely see wanting to make friends with you outside your door on the deck. (If you’re not fond of big dogs, this may not be the place for you.) We can pretty much guarantee you'll hear some of our "life" - kitties chasing each other, dogs barking at delivery trucks and playing, dishwasher, footsteps etc. If you are bringing a dog or 2 - I will request an alteration to your reservation for the $20/DOG/Night before you arrive. You must accept this to confirm your stay. Also, we will, from time to time, coordinate with you on hot tub usage cuz who doesn’t want to sit in the hot tub and look out at the forest trees after a long day? Our neighborhood is small town friendly - you can walk to the 4th street bar and grill (menu in drawer) or the Mexican restaurant. And we're on a quiet culdesac where you can hear the local high school football games in the fall and t-ball in the summer - and from time to time, neighbors working in their yards. Nearest grocery is Rosauers in Ridgefield (they have a natural foods section) or Safeway or Walmart in Woodland. The La Center Marketplace has a few fresh items and limited groceries as well. Great walking trails - Brezee Creek, Heritage Loop, the Wetlands. You can put in with a kayak at Sternwheeler park (near bridge you entered into town). Electricity can sometimes be wonky. Please don’t use microwave and hot water kettle at the same time. Also, the bedroom heater and hair dryer will blow the circuit. We wish this were different.
