Creekside Haven

An old-style Airbnb, I am sharing my eclectic home with those who enjoy nature. This is an intimate rustic refurbished cabin (875 sq ft) in a woodsy setting beside two meandering creeks. The front and back decks of the cottage overlook the creeks near the foot of the Mayacamas mountains. A former summer cabin now opened for guests to experience peace, fresh air, forests, wildlife, rushing creeks in the winter and a peaceful stream in summer. Please leave your shoes in the entry. Guests may choose appropriate footwear. Your intimate bedroom faces the creeks and mountain for complete privacy. Special care has been taken for your comfort and a perfect night's sleep. Windows in 4 of the 5 rooms have views of the creeks. Skylights and bay windows in the living room, dining area bring natural light. The kitchen has all necessary implements to cook healthy meals. The cathedral window in the kitchen looks downstream for nearly 1/4 of a mile. You will be the only guests in cottage during your stay, and have private use of outdoor spaces and daily use of the sauna with advanced notice. You will have complete privacy within the cottage, as I will stay in the bungalow on the property and be available for questions or assistance. Anderson Springs is charming community 5 miles west of Middletown in the heart of Geothermal development . Creekside Haven located on a lightly traveled county road set within the woods at the confluence of two creeks which was not impacted by the 2015 Valley Fire. There are a few dwellings beyond Creekside Haven on our dead-end road, but the community has a number of paved roads for 1+ mile walks that cross the creek. Periodically we have small earthquakes generated from the Geothermal activity in the area. Varieties of local walks and area hikes; Harbin Hot Springs; numerous wineries & wine tasting; 9 & 18- hole golf courses are 4 miles and 10 miles from CH, and gaming are located a short 5 mile drive away. The largest natural lake in California is only 20 miles. Because we are in the woods, guests are asked to leave outdoor shoes in the entry, there is seating. Use socks or house slippers indoors. Shoe covers are available that can also act as slippers.
