If you love nature and peaceful surroundings with plenty of space, you will enjoy your stay here. This is a country home settled in the heart of the forest with deer walking by, birds chirping & bees a buzzing. The home is a work in progress and consistently being upgraded. Modest rustic charm with knotty pine, stone fireplace, old style and faded carpeting, but it is very clean and cozy. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, excellent Wi-Fi, big screen TV and selection of dvds. This classic country home is very large with high ceilings, roomy and always kept clean. Activities in the area include the wine tasting trail, Mt biking, hiking, kayaking, river rafting and fishing. The American river only 15 minutes away. Feel free to use the 2-man kayak on the premises. You will have full use of the home's first floor and loft area. The two bedrooms upstairs and are locked and unoccupied. Guests will have full access to the 8 acre property, and will have the entire home to themselves. The 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor are the only rooms inaccessible. Your host Christo maintains residency in another building on the property and occasionally may be around but typically is not in order to give guests their privacy. As your host I am available by email, text or phone every day so please do not hesitate to call or text me with any questions or issues. It is a very quiet area with most people in the area retired. There is a great little cafe nearby called the Dine & Dash, good food and drinks. The American river nearby is a nice place to go swimming and hiking. The nearest grocery store is 7 miles in Colfax.
