The Bu Cabin

Summer or winter - this cozy cabin nestled in the mountains could be yours to escape to. Located in the quaint town of Kyburz along the South Fork of the American River surrounded by the Eldorado National Forest with hiking access right out the door. Close to Sugar Loaf climbing area, Pony Express Trail, Lover's Leap, Adventure Mountain, Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort, Wrights Lake, and a short drive to South Lake Tahoe. Owners Mala (lovingly called MalaBu by the fam) + Shane (ShaneyBu) aka The Bu Family, opens the doors to their little slice of heaven on earth in Northern California. If you are looking for a comfortable and cozy place to get away from it all, unwind, and reconnect with nature - this is it! There is a lovely selection of books, games, a keyboard, a karaoke box, dartboard, and a writing desk if you are one of those that decide to take advantage of the current work-from-home situation and retreat to the mountains to do so. And if you want to go back in time, dive into the fabulous collection of VHS tapes. Yes, we have a VHS player too. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need on hand to cook up delicious meals for you and your family. There is a gas grill on the deck to bbq when the weather is pleasant. The cabin sleeps 6 adults comfortably in three queen beds + 2 kids in a bunk bed with twin-size mattresses. And, wait for this! There is a year-round stream on the property that makes a great place for exploring right in the backyard.
