Patton Pond

Welcome to Patton Pond, a new AirB&B property in Austerlitz, New York. We offer a gorgeous 3-bedroom, 2-bath home tucked away on a secluded five acres close to the Massachusetts border. The house was built in 1985 and comes with all standard amenities & gorgeous views. We’re at the base of Harvey Mountain, around the corner from the Austerlitz Historical Society & just down the hill from the Millay Colony. Let the pond, mountains & woods inspire you to be creative or just relax! Enjoy board games on our large dining room table, relax in the living room, or spend some quality time in our enormous kitchen big enough for a Food Network cooking show. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors on our sprawling porch where you can take in the landscape including a pond, small forest, and mountains on the horizon, or make a fire in our wood burning stove and have a quiet & cozy evening with a good book in the living room. Guests are welcome to use the main two floors of the house and explore the property, which includes an enormous porch, pond, and fire pit (did someone say S’mores?) We’re available via email, text, or just a phone call away! Close to the Austerlitz Historical Society, Art Austerlitz, Harvey Mountain, Steepletop, and a quick drive to restaurants in Chatham, Ghent, antiquing in Hudson, shops & galleries in Lenox or wonderful literary or cultural landmarks like The Mount, Tanglewood, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and Art Omi. There’s plenty of opportunities for local hiking, skiing in the Berkshire’s, and plenty to explore in greater Columbia County. We definitely recommend having a car if planning a visit! We added stronger Wi-Fi (we have a Dish) but Patton Pond still remains a good spot to unplug for a long weekend for those who need a break from Zoom! We have an air fryer & Keurig, coffee pot & coffee grinder out in the kitchen and a crockpot, and blender in the pantry should you need them. *Please note we have a thorough round of disinfecting between guests to ensure everything is clean and sterile. Please abide by all NYS and CDC social distancing guidelines and recommendations during your stay. *Please be aware that short-term power and internet outages periodically occur in the Hudson Valley and Columbia County during storms or with strong winds. These are usually resolved quickly by the power company.
