We welcome you to be our guest in this charming, historic home built in 1911 by a German mason. This upper unit Apartment is a spacious 1,100 square feet, lovingly restored with a vintage aesthetic in 2018. The private entrance to "The Apartment" will lead you to; 2 cozy bedrooms & 1 vintage inspired yet modern bath with walk in shower. A large living room, dining area and bright clean kitchen will make you feel right at home. 9 foot ceilings and tons of natural light through out. A short drive to Morraine Hills State Park, Glacial Park, The Volo Bog, outdoor drive in movie, McHenry Country Club. Walking distance to St. Mary's Catholic Church & St. Patrick's Catholic Church & many down town dining spots. The entire second floor has a seperate entrance for your privacy. My husband Walter & I live down the street, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant. Pedestrian friendly neighborhood 2 blocks from the Veteran's Park which hosts live band concerts & a Farmer's Market on Thursday nights in the Summer. Vintage car show on Monday nights in the summer at McHenry's Drive in movie theater (2 miles) The Fox river and McHenry riverwalk 3 blocks away. Many restaurants are within blocks of our air b&B if you would like to walk. Toasty radiant heating, window air conditioning units installed seasonally.
