Neighboring towns such as Asbury Park and Belmar are walking distance and all of the beach towns are linked together by the boardwalk making it ideal to travel between communities on foot. Walking, cycling, and jogging are ideal activities along the boardwalk and fishing is available on Sylvan lake or the Shark River Inlet which is within walking distance. There are local areas in Belmar where you can charter daily boat rentals for deep sea fishing, cruising, tubing and para-sailing. Overall, it's a relaxing beach experience that offers many activities, situated on Sylvan Lake and just two blocks from the ocean.
