Beautiful home in a magical place. Lots of things to do in the summer. Canoeing, swimming at the beach or at a swimming hole nearby. Pemaquid point is 20 minute drive . We just installed a new full house generator. This will backup the power automatically to protect lighting, heating, appliances, internet, pumps for water and septic. With the well, septic, heating oil and gas tanks, this house is completely self-sufficient for months at a time. Bristol Swimming Hole - 10 minute drive Canoeing on the Pemaquid River all the way to Bisque Pond starts near the swimming hole. Pemaquid Point & Beach - 20 minute drive Boothbay Harbor - 45 minute drive Portland - 1 hr 15 minute drive 15 lakes on Pemaquid Pennisula Beaches and tidal pools on Hog and Louds Island across the water. Rock shelf shore all along our water front. Birds! Hog Island, the Audobon camp in Maine is straight across the water. A permanent eagle's nest sits at the southern end of Hog, visible from our deck. Ospreys, eiders, Loons and winter birds fish off our shore in all seasons. X Country skiing on Back Shore Rd before it's plowed and on trails all around the house. The best ice skating on the many lakes on the Pemaquid Pennisula.
