Private Room with En suite Bath

Nice large bedroom with vaulted ceilings, on our second floor with a private en suite bathroom, complete with shower, toilet and sink. Your private room is one of two large bedrooms on the second floor of our home. An en suite bath with shower, sink and toilet makes this bedroom a uniquely private space - no need to step outside your room to utilize the bath facilities. The room has one double bed, as well as a dresser and a large closet. There is also a desk and a small fridge in the room. There is a full kitchen in our finished basement which, depending on our occupancy, is either your shared or your private kitchen. Equipped with a full array of appliances plates, bowls, and silverware, you'll just need to supply your own food. There are laundry facilities located on the same basement level. You're welcome to relax in our sun room, or lounge around on our wrap around porch. We have both long term and short stay guests here so you're most likely to bump into someone. Our home sits back on a 2.3 acre lot and in the spring, summer, and fall when the leaves are full, it's very secluded. We live on a long U-shaped street with little traffic at the edge of suburbia. You can walk 10 minutes to a little used forest preserve and explore the simple paths, enjoy the creek, and most likely see a deer or two. It's about 2 miles into town where you can get a great cup of coffee. a pastry, or a sandwich at The Edge Coffee House, a craft bear at the Evil Horse Brewery, an ice cream cone at The Cone Cottage, or sit down to a small town meal at one of 5 different eating establishments. We are located between two major expressways, each about 10 minutes away. We are about 3 miles from the Metra Electric line which can whisk you into downtown Chicago in under an hour. Uber and Lyft are readily available. Please note: We are pet friendly, but only host guests with pets in our studio apartment. We have a dog who has unleashed and unfenced use of our yard.
