Under 8 please let us know how many beds are needed. ***** 2 night minimum most of the Summer and Fall. Will make some exceptions. Plenty of space to gather as a family and enough space to get away from one another as well. Relax in the living room area by the fire or on the large wrap around deck overlooking the vineyard. Feel the stress melt away as you enjoy all the features of this country retreat. Amazing views of the sunrise in this elevated home which is at one of the highest points in the county. Wake up in the morning and walk in the vineyard for peaceful exercise. (The vineyard totals one mile up and down the rows. ) The home offers wifi, Two Smart tv's , dish washer, air conditioning and 2 wood burning stoves. The basement has an air hockey table and full sized ping pong table. It is heated and cooled using a freshly installed geo thermal unit. This unit also has air scrubber by aerus. The air scrubber sanitizes the home against Viruses, bacteria, and allergens. You can look up more about this scientifically proven technology on (Website hidden by Airbnb) Their technology is utilized in space due to it being the only certified air cleaner to clean air and surfaces 24 hours/day. Fully furnished with sheets, towels, dishes, cuisine food processor, coffee pot, etc. I don't have every kitchen utensil you might need to create a large meal; let me know if you have a specific item you need. There is also a gas grill and pellet smoker for your use. Bring your own type of smoking pellet just in case there aren't any available. This is a large country log cabin and guests must realize that although we do our best to prevent any pests from entering the home, we can't guarantee there will never be en encounter with one of nature's pests/animals. We are hunters and have a few animal mounts throughout the home. Dust can accumulate every few days due to it being a country home on a gravel road with 2 wood burning fireplaces. This is a great place for family gatherings, a honeymoon weekend, a relaxing getaway, or retreat. A code will be provided through access through the garage, where guests can park . We will be available by phone or text if needed or at check in if possible. There are only 3 houses within a half mile. We are 26 miles from the Eastern Iowa Airport, 16 miles from the University of Iowa, Kinnick Stadium is 18 miles, 19 miles to Cornell College, Celebration Barn is 13 miles, 14 miles to Lakeview OHV Park,(a 600 acre atv park) .Go boating and fishing on Lake McBride, which is 16 miles, 19 miles to Coraville Resevoir., 2 miles to a boat ramp on the Cedar River for kayaking, float trips and fishing. We are 9 miles to a local Buchanan House Winery . Historical West Branch is 7 miles away if you would like to get into town for awhile. It is a quaint little town of Herbert Hoover's birthplace which is filled with little shops and places to eat. Out of respect for the neighbors, no loud music please. in regards to weather, our driveway has never drifted with big snows in the 5 years we have lived there. Please do not go beyond the vineyard due to neighboring property lines. Also, this is a very large house. The heating/AC do well, It takes awhile to catch up to adjustments. Please keep doors and windows closed, as this will prevent the Heat/AC from keeping up, and it could take a while for it to catch back up Geothermal is a green/environmental friendly heating/cooling source. However, it is not like a typical furnace that heats air with a flame and blows it out hot. Geothermal works at a steady heat utilizing the ground as a heat exchanger.
