Jabber's Farmhouse is an older farm house located in the foothills of NC mountains. Views on both sides. Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise across the countryside while enjoying some coffee in our porch rockers, later a short ride to downtown Elkin or touring the local wineries. There's no better place to get away, yet feel right at home! We may not be the most newly renovated place to stay, but Jabber's will give you every feeling of being at "Grandma's house". Definitely a peaceful. Inside our farmhouse, you'll find 4 comfy bedrooms, an updated full bathroom, a spacious kitchen, and cozy living area! There are new hardwood floors throughout the house and an updated bathroom, but you'll find that all our doors and windows are original to the house! Each of our bedrooms includes a luxurious bed with all the linens provided! We take care of the laundry! Feel free to leave the beds as they are upon your day of departure! Master Bedroom: Includes a queen bed, tv with Amazon Fire tv, and direct access to one of the front porches. You have to access bedroom 2 via the master bedroom. Bedroom #2: Includes a queen bed and a gorgeous view of the countryside! Bedroom #3: Includes a twin bed in a Bob Timberlake themed room. You also have door access to the back of the house. Bedroom #4: Includes a full size bed, dresser, and view of the countryside. You have to access the twin bedroom via bedroom #4, great for kids wanting to be near Mom and Dad. Small bedroom with twin bed accessible from middle bedroom. *Please note that while there are no closets in bedrooms due to the unique layout of the house, we have hanging racks behind the doors in each room for your convenience and a large closet in the family room. Kitchen is stocked with the simple items you need for cooking meals and there is a charcoal grill out behind the house!! We also provide complimentary tea and coffee. Outdoors, you'll have plenty of parking, gorgeous views from both front porches, and fun times on the back patio. Baby items available upon request! (high chair, pack and play and more) Access will be arranged. We are here to help in any way we can to help make your stay enjoyable. Available by phone 24-7. Sometimes we stay in a camper located on other end of property, you will still have your privacy. With only 6 houses on this state maintained country dirt road you will have plenty of room for parking. Watch the fog lift off the mountains in the mornings and in the evenings, sip a nice glass of local wine while watchin the sunset behind the mountains. Absolutely relaxing, peaceful and beautiful! You may even see the geese fly over the pasture or see a herd of deer running the fields. In the spring and summer months you can visit Byrd's Family Campground which is a 5 minute drive from the house! Try out all the new trails, Carter Falls is less than 2 miles from the house. Kayaking down the Yadkin River with plenty of rental companies nearby. Convenient to many of the Vineyards and only a 10 minute drive to Historic Downtown Elkin and shopping and dining. Getting around is relatively easy. North Bridge St. will be the main road which will take you to 268 where you will find most of the restaurants & shopping.
