Leave your car and your cares at the marina because Little Gasparilla is accessible only by water taxi! That means our beaches are uncrowded and tourists and traffic are just a mainland memory. If you are looking for a quiet tropical island to relax and unplug, Little Gasparilla is your dream vacation spot. Our "nightlife" consists of giant sea turtles laying their eggs -- our only bar is the sand bar where you can find sand dollars and shells! This stunning, brand new gulf front home has been whimsically named Camp GoodNow by the owners....but it is far from a "camp"! It combines brand new features and amenities with a touch of rustic charm....like a fabulous open kitchen with a farmhouse sink, exposed brick walls and black iron fixtures. A soaring high ceiling allows light to flood into the living area. The entrance to the master suite is a beautiful barn door and the house features beautiful natural pine doors throughout. The living area features French doors that open to the front porch and its fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This beachfront home also includes access to a slip at Dock 51. This is a community dock and boat size is limited to 24 ft. The dock is just a short, five-minute walk from the beach to the bay side of the island, The home features three bedrooms and three full baths and sleeps six comfortably. There is a downstairs bedroom for those who prefer not to climb stairs....and a full bath just across the hall. There is also a full laundry room on the main floor. Upstairs, the master suite sits at the front of the house overlooking the Gulf....a private en suite bath features a large walk-in shower, large vanity and dramatic tile floors. The master suite also has French doors opening to a private gulf-front balcony with fabulous views of our dramatic LGI sunsets! The third bedroom also has an en-suite bath with shower and features bunkbeds. The home also affords you a private dune walk directly to the beach and the entire downstairs area is decked. It is a perfect spot for enjoying the breezes from the Gulf in a private and serene setting. Comfortable chairs, a gas and charcoal gill, hammock and porch swing complete the downstairs deck. Fishing is great off the dock or right off the beach. We can also help you arrange fishing charters, trips to Cabbage Key or shelling excursions. All in all, this home offers you the best of island living....sitting directly on the gulf, with fabulous views of the beach, in the comfort and luxury of a brand new home. WiFi -complimentary via ATT cellular. Pet Policy - PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED Minimum Renter Age - 25 Dock number 51: access to a dock slip included in your rental (this is also where the water taxi drops you off). Maximum boat length: 24 ft. Complimentary Concierge - will meet you at the dock with a golf cart to assist with transporting your luggage and groceries to the home Vacation rental damage protection- The $59 charge listed as an "administrative fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $2500 of “all risk” damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in your contract. Satellite TV - yes Grill Type -gas and charcoal Parking - $8/night ($10/night if you have a boat trailer) at Eldred's Marina where you meet the boat taxi LITTLE GASPARILLA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...PLEASE READ! • You cannot drive your car to the house or the island and the only access is via water taxi; there is no vehicle ferry. • You must park your car at the marina at the mainland but it will be perfectly safe there; parking is $8 a day. • The water taxi is $15 per person each way and he will drop you right at our dock. Normal ferry hours are approximately 8-5 every day. • You must bring all groceries to the island with you. • There are no stores of any kind on the island, not even a convenience store. • There is no need to bring drinking water; the water from the tap is safe and drinkable. • There are first responders on the island and we have 911 service in case of an emergency. • Golf carts are not necessary; the island is only 100-200 yards wide in most places and our concierge will meet you upon arrival to bring you to the house. But they are fun to go exploring. • You can fish off the dock or the beach but non-Florida residents will need to purchase a fishing license. INTERNET: Just keep in mind that it is NOT the internet you are used to on the mainland. (It is especially helpful to remind kids and teenagers who are used to unlimited data!) We usually suggest that people download books and movies to their tablets or e-readers BEFORE coming to the island. PLEASE NOTE: We do require that two members of each group must be over 25 years of age. We apologize, but we can NOT rent to college groups as a courtesy to the homeowners and our island neighbors. Guests will be evicted if found not to meet age requirements upon check in. Additionally, we can not exceed capacity in island homes due to the fragile septic systems.
