Wilderness Adventure Lodge

A beautiful, private, secluded setting with large private front and back yards (over an acre) nestled into the woods. The interior offers hardwood floors throughout, new heaters (a 36,000 BTU heater in living room/ dining area and a 13,600 BTU heater in bedroom areas. A cozy propane fireplace for relaxation. All new appliances, bedding and furniture. We have tried to provide most conveniences associated with modern living in a wilderness setting. The pictures show it all. There are over 5 miles of maintained trails throughout 500 acres of woodland for you to hike, bike, snowshoe or cross country ski depending on the season and weather. There are 2 large ponds filled with bass for your catch-and-release fishing enjoyment. Bring your boat in the spring and fish for trophy striped bass on the gorgeous Hudson River. We are located 10 minutes away from the beautiful and spacious Schodack Island Boat Launch. Guests will be furnished with a detailed map of the trails. You can bring badminton, volleyball, bocce ball, or any other lawn game for your enjoyment. Bring whiffle ball and play Home run derby in the back yard. In the winter (if there is NO snow) you can enjoy hiking the trails. If there IS snow, bring your cross country skis or snow shoes or just hike the trails with boots. Bring your bicycle and ride the over 5 miles of mostly level trails. As your hosts, Christine and I are available as much or as little as you want. Our main house is located about 1/4 mile away on the front of the property. I will give you my cell phone number when you arrive. If you need me just call. If you want total privacy you won’t see us except possibly on the lawn mowers or snow plow if it snows. We take great pride in our lawn and property maintenance. Our property is located less than 10 minutes from Stewart’s, Dunkin Donuts, Kings Wok, LaBella’s fine Italian Dining Restaurant, Four Brothers Restaurant (Greek dining), McDonald's, a beautiful large clean laundromat, O’Kenny’s delicious ice cream, Hannaford Grocery Plaza and a spacious boat launch. Located 25 minutes from Albany, 30 - 40 minutes from 3 ski resorts and located 45 minutes from the Saratoga Race Track and Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Check out our Guidebook. Our Lodge is designed to provide our guests with a unique wilderness experience while, at the same time, being located only 10 minutes from "civilization."
