TreeHouse Retreat - A Sanctuary for the Soul

The Treehouse Retreat is a home away from home snuggled beneath the pines and is situated on 165 acres of protected forest. The land offers a peaceful setting to connect to the more-than-human world and invites you to engage in activities of self-care that nourish your body, mind and soul. Enjoy walking the trails through the woods, relaxing along the ponds edge, and simply being. The picturesque views and clean, fresh air will heal your spirit and calm your mind. The TreeHouse is a beautiful little cottage perfect for an individual, couple, or a a few close friends. to enjoy getting back to nature. The space comes with a full kitchen (fridge, oven, stove, microwave, cookware, plates, bowls, etc), a meditation room with floor cushions, foldable chairs and tables, full bathroom, WiFi, sound system, spacious wrap around deck with seating, main bedroom with double bed, (there is also a small secret room, with a bunk bed, that doesn't have HVAC and is accessed only by a pull down staircase) and an outdoor fire pit. Next to the TreeHouse are two large ponds and access points to our trail system. Just a short walk away are many other beautiful sites to enjoy including Gaia's Garden and the Chapel which overlooks Lake Mackintosh. As your hosts, we want to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible and so we try to make ourselves available to you as much as we can. We live on the property and are mostly around should a need arise. The TreeHouse Retreat is located in the heart of the Piedmont bioregion of North Carolina and within the Upper Cape Fear River Basin. It is a unique place of beauty graced with sunlit meadows, shimmering ponds, and woodlands of tulip poplar, dogwood, oak, and pine. It is a place where mists rise from ponds in the early morning, where the blue heron flies overhead, and where barred owls can be heard speaking in night. A place where deer, raccoon, and other wild creatures make unexpected appearances on land that protected in perpetuity under a conservation easement with the Conservation Trust of North Carolina. A place where the natural world inspires creativity, evokes wonder, and fosters healing of body, mind, and spirit. The TreeHouse Retreat is only 15 minutes away from downtown Greensboro and Elon University, 40 minutes from Winston-Salem, 45 minutes from Chapel Hill and about an hour from Raleigh. Please note that because the TreeHouse is located in the woods don't be surprised to find the occasional bug cross your path. We do not use pesticides so do help them find their way back outside if you don't want them in.
