A beautiful idyllic hideaway in rolling Devon hills, only 3 miles from Totnes and 15 minutes drive to the sea. The Orangery is a detached property in the grounds of a Georgian Manor. A 'wall of glass' captures the uninterrupted, glorious Devon countryside views to the horizon and gives direct access to the private garden with wood fired hot tub for ultimate relaxation. There is a open-plan living area, with cosy log burner, kingsize bed, plus separate kitchen, shower room and wardrobe. The glass doors slide open to bring the private garden inside. Private garden with hammocks, brick BBQ, rattan sofa, and wood fired hot tub. Views over rolling countryside, lake, and woods, with a rippling stream in the distance. With no light pollution, sit under the stars in the wood fired hot tub (no motors or bubbles ruining the ambience), and enjoy a wine or two. The water is refilled each time, so no sharing water used by someone else. Plenty of walks straight out of the door to two local pubs; The Church House inn and the Pig & Whistle. TV and box of DVDs when you want to snuggle in front of the log burner. This a unique private property. No space is shared apart from parking. We're available as required, and happy to assist with anything you need. We provide a self service check in so we don't need to physically meet. The only shared area is parking. Set in the grounds of a manor house dating back to (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , and origins going back to the Doomsday book, the location is steeped in history. Totnes is a unique and thriving town with original shops, cafes, restaurants and parks. There are two pubs within a 30 min walk (Littlehempston and Marldon) and Berry Pomeroy castle (English Heritage), with its cafe, is half a mile away, and a lovely walk. Brixham is 15 minutes by car and the beautiful beaches near Salcombe and Dartmouth are easily accessed. Private parking is provided at the Orangery. A car is recommended, but you can get taxi's if needed. Dogs are welcome. No more than two. Please keep off the beds and furniture and not to be left unattended. £25 additional cost per dog, per booking which can be paid via bank transfer before your stay. Please let us know if you'll be bringing a dog on your booking message. And please please please pick up any dog mess from the lawn. You'd be amazed how many people don't.
