Our 30-day rental is superbly located near downtown Nauvoo one block north of the Nauvoo Temple. It was built with Nauvoo brick in 1843 by Dr. Samuel Bennett for a medical office and later WW Rust had a boot shop and sold Native American medicines and cures. In circa 1850, a 3-story addition was made using original Nauvoo Temple stone. An easy walk west takes you to the Catholic or LDS Churches, the Outdoor Stage, the Visitors Center, "Old Nauvoo", and the Nauvoo Pageant and Fair. The Bennett-Rust aka Anton-Kelley home is located in a residential area of Nauvoo and can be rented only by the month (i.e. 30-days). You will find the view of the Temple from our completely new kitchen inspiring. Period furniture will take you back in time while the modern conveniences of a recent major renovation will make your stay comfortable. A code for entry will be provided at receipt of payment and the day of check in. Feel free to contact us by phone or email should you need any assistance. Located 1 block from the LDS Nauvoo Temple on Temple Hill. You will find a very large yard between the house and the Catholic Rectory (originally Parley P. Pratt's store). You can view the Mississippi River from the dining room windows if you have a good eye. The Family History Center is on the same block as is the Nauvoo Temple Arrival Center. Walking and biking are delightful Spring through Fall. There are carriage rides, oxen rides available just down the hill. A home inspection before check out. Free parking for one car off road in front of house (other space for guest suite) and additional space in front of historic garage off Young Street.
