Newly Renovated Historic Mill Village Cottage

Tupelo's Mill Village adjoins downtown making this home a very short walk to downtown! Just a block from Relics Antique Market, it is less than 10 minutes to Main Street and less than 15min walk to Fairpark. The restoration of this home kept as many original details as possible while updating for easy use in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ! The house is about (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square feet but feels larger and quite open thanks to the 11' ceilings. The kitchen includes a dining room table that will seat up to 10 people and has all new appliances. The kitchen, entry way and living room are three rooms but have a very open feel. The windows throughout the house are much larger than standard windows allowing for great light. The living room has a new sofa (that pulls out to a queen bed), an oversized chair where we spend lots of time when we are here and working gas fireplace. Sleeping arrangements include: * Living Space - a new sofa with a queen pull out * Bedroom One - double bed * Bedroom Two - This room has some flexibility! The bed in the room can be a single bed, two single beds or a double bed. You let us know how you want it set up. (You can (Hidden by Airbnb) the Ikea Utaker Stackable bed to see what we mean. ) There is one bathroom, also completely updated in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , with a refurbished clawfoot tub. There is onsite parking. We provide both a traditional coffee pot and a Keurig. We provide some filters as well and often coffee. We have lots of staples in the house and you are welcome to use what is here. PETS: Pets are welcome. There is a $50 pet fee and we ask that pets not be left unattended. We do ask that you pick up after your pet so our yard and space are clean for the next guests. Keypad access. We will be reachable 24/7! We do not live in Tupelo full time and when we are not in town have lots of folks on call to assist with anything that comes up. Frances is a native of Tupelo and we use the house very often and usually for a month or more at a time. The Mill Village neighborhood was built to house workers at the Cotten Mill. The train ran next to the Mill and continues to run along the border of the neighborhood. The train does come through multiple times a day. We provide noise machines in bedrooms and a few sets of earplugs but if you are particular you may want to bring your own. Though it won't pop up on most of the websites that search multiple airlines, there is a direct flight from Nashville, TN to Tupelo via Contour Airlines! Additionally, we are under 2 hours from the airport in Memphis, TN and just over 2 hours from the Birmingham, AL airport. Our house is easily walkable to many of Tupelo's highlights in Downtown Tupelo and Fairpark. Some of the highlights include Tupelo Hardware where Elvis bought his first guitar, incredible restaurants like Kermits Soul Kitchen and shopping at Reed's Department Store (one of the oldest family owned department stores in the country). That said, most folks who visit Tupelo will enjoy having a car. Below are some driving times to popular places: * Bancorp South Arena - 4min drive or 18 min walk * Elvis Presley's Birthplace - under 10min drive * North Mississippi Medical Center - under 10min drive * Barnes Crossing Mall - under 15min * Tupelo Airport - under 15min Traveling with Children? We have a Pack and Play and stroller available for your use as well as a cabinet (under TV) with toys. At this point, they are a bit car/truck focused but also have puzzles, colors, books. blocks, etc.
