We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit. The Space: The first things visitors notice about Saddleback Escape is the absence of neighbors, a terrain of desert plants, and views of the majestic Bartlett Mountains. This stargazer’s paradise is set on 10 acres of private land, so you’ll feel like you’ve traveled a world away, yet it’s only 7 miles from Joshua Tree. “We really enjoyed our stay! Thoughtful amenities all over the place. We loved the fire pit and outdoor areas. Tons of privacy.” -Recent Review -BEDS & BATHS- Saddleback Escape can comfortably sleep six guests in three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with sauna steam feature, and a private patio accessed through a sliding glass door. You’ll also find a blender, a drip coffee maker, and a French press ready for your morning ritual. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views. The kitchen faces the dining area, where you’ll find a table for 8 surrounded by walls of windows. Although you may be tempted to take your meal outside to the patio’s dining table, which also seats at least 8. -LIVING SPACE- After an invigorating hike or scenic drive around the area, come back to Saddleback Escape’s cozy living room for some much-deserved rest and relaxation. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while watching the full moon in a sky changing colors.” -Recent Review -OUTDOOR SPACE- Favorite features of the property are always the outdoor amenities — including dining, lounging, and stargazing areas. Most notable is the hot tub that sits away from the house and offers jaw-dropping views in three directions. Nearby is an outdoor shower and lounging area. The patio includes a hot tub, a hammock, a day bed, and a fire pit, and next to the house is the covered patio area with a dining table, BBQ, and ping pong table. To the east, the terrain slopes gently toward infinity amid a carpet of desert plants. To the south are the Bartlett Mountains, and beyond those are the ranks of peaks and boulder piles that traverse Joshua Tree National Park, 12 miles away. It’s a stargazer’s paradise, with the huge night sky and lack of light pollution. -ESSENTIALS- Parking is available for 4 vehicles, and an electric vehicle charger is provided. Saddleback Escape has WiFi, heating, and air conditioning.
