Historic Heritage Storehouse is more than a place to stay, it's an experience. Part of the National Registry of Historic Places, this property is a must see. The studio is adjacent to the first brick home built in Monticello and the studio itself was once used as a "Bishop's Storehouse". The surrounding property touts beautiful trees, grassy areas, a fire pit and picnic table for guest use. Enjoy a clean, comfortable stay right in the middle of many National/State Parks and Monuments. This studio is part of history! The home adjacent to the studio was the first brick home built in Monticello and was a large part of the history of the pioneers that settled the town. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places and is a beloved part of Monticello. Guests have access to the studio as well as the outside yard which includes: beautiful ornamental trees, orchard, grassy areas, court yard with a picnic table and a fire pit. There will be a lock pad on the door to enable you to arrive and leave at your pleasure within the specified check-in/out times. We're always happy to meet you as both of our schedules allow and attend to any of your needs. Monticello is a cozy and safe little town and our neighborhood holds that same standard. You will likely be greeted with a wave and a smile with most people that pass by. It is a block from main street so you will have quick access to restaurants and other stores in town. There are no options for public transportation or ride services in town because it is so rural. You will need your own vehicle. However there is free parking throughout town and the "storehouse" has dedicated parking just outside the door. *SUNDAYS are discounted as much as AirB&B allows us ($10 minimum) to cover fees etc and $10 cleaning fee. *No pets in consideration of our customers who may be allergic.
