Timothy Hill House, circa 1790 boasts sprawling gardens and a cozy feeling combined with modern conveniences. The home is nestled in a wooded area off a main access road so located perfectly to town and major highways, yet off the beaten path, to give the feeling of a cabin getaway. The home has history of being built by Revolutionary War soldier, Timothy Hill, and had the authentic historic sense of living in a museum from that time period, with hand scraped wide pine floors, exposed beam ceilings, paned glass windows with views of surrounding gardens in every season of the year. Bright, airy large bedrooms, and warm cozy gathering areas provide the perfect getaway to nestle up to your favorite book, sip on your morning tea on the screened patio, or walk the gardens and pick blackberries. Child and family friendly amenities such as streaming television, toys and books as well as outdoor swing set and craft station make this space home away from home! No pets, smoking or parties/events in home or on property. Will consider small, crated house trained hypo-allergenic breeds on individual basis with $200 pet cleaning fee. Must disclose prior to booking. Deposit of 500 standard with booking will be refunded upon check out inspection at owners discretion. Guests have private driveway with plenty of space to park and play. The home is situated on nearly an acre yet accessible to shops, restaurants, highways and local farms. You’ll have a private unit in the home, which is a two family home, shared with other guests. Private driveway and access doors give your own family space to come and go, but it is a home, so there is some shared noise and movement heard within the home. We ask all guests to be considerate and honor quiet hours. We love being available to our guests but also want to honor your privacy and space, so we are accessible by phone and messenger but want you to enjoy your purpose and privacy as desired. The neighborhood abuts Milford, Franklin and Bellingham, and is centrally located to access grocery stores, shopping plazas and restaurants both locally owned and known chains. It’s a slower paced cut through street that had regular traffic yet is quiet and serene after dark. Access to local farms such as Tangerini’s Street Farm and horseback riding nearby at Rising Star Equestrian Center or Coachman’s Delight are right in town. The winding roads give thought to the historic town mill and quintessential Americana of yesteryear. Gated driveway leads out to West Street which leads to 109 and 126 either leading you to Interstate 495. 35 miles west to Boston, Massachusetts or south to Providence Rhode Island, we are centrally located. Museums, historic sites, Freedom Trail, libraries and town centers are within reach and the train access is just in the neighboring town of Franklin to ride into the city. Recommend car or Uber for transportation. Scenic drives year round are gorgeous! Not suitable for pets, smoking or parties/events. Suitable for professionals, couples or family. Moving to the area, locals renovating or between homes, vacationing, long term stays. This is the main living space of a two family home, each with private driveways and entrances. It is one home so you’ll be aware there are others in the adjacent space. Some noise and outdoor area is large and a shared space. Our home is made for families and we hope to be able to accommodate your family with transition or vacation to the area. We have enjoyed many fond years with our own children and loved ones and have hosted many guests with children and love to make a homey and happy space available for your memories and family time.
