Welcome to "The Last Little Lake Cottage" We require a 3 night minimum stay June, July and August on all stays that include Friday and Saturday night stays. Let's be honest you can't do it all in two days anyways! Life's short, book your 3 night stay with us today as we fill up fast for summer travel. Lake view from couch! A huge wrap around deck just a couple of houses from the lake! Perfect distance to city park, lake, beach, downtown. So you can get out and move around all by foot. 3 blocks from Main St. & the historic Surf Ballroom. You literally don't need a car! Walk anywhere! Nautically Appointed! Location location location! The foot print of our home is the exact same, as it was when it was built in 1900! Originally only used as a summer cottage here in Clear Lake when most only lived here in the summer. But don't let the winters scare you now as we have The Last Little Lake cottage all warmed up! We have remodeled The Last Little Lake Cottage for year round living and wonderful lake views with wrap around windows, double french doors, custom lighting, two way blinds (up or down) with blackout blinds in bedrooms should you want to sleep in! Light, airy, comfortable and cozy! A little bit of small town farm, and a lot of lake cottage! A wonderful outdoor living deck, wraps around the front of the home where you can take in the lake views, see all the people walking by and the classic cars as they drive by in the evenings for their "cruise" around the lake! Gray distressed wood flooring and crisp clean coastal white walls with all the nautical trimmings that makes Clear Lake a true lake community a Saratoga of the West as it was once called! A classic American lake cottage, appointed in grays, reds, whites and blue! A fairy tale!..... Or at least it is to us, and we hope its the same for you and your stay! A red, white and blue, lake getaway awaits you! Property Information: Below is other house information for your stay at The Last "Little" Lake Cottage! There are some video links or URL's you may copy and paste into a browser which will take you to youtube to watch the videos on some operational or functionality aspects to the cottage. Your access code will be provided immediately after you book with us. This will give you access to the home that unique to you and the duration of your stay. This is a pre-programmed time and date in our smart lock system. So if you arrive early the door will not provide access until 3:00 p.m. local time on the day of your check-in. If you are early, we suggest heading over to The Surf Historic Ballroom for a free tour, or visiting some of great little shops or restaurants in town until your check-in time. Check-out time is at 11:00 a.m. local time on the day of your check-out. We very kindly ask that you attempt to be as prompt as possible on your exit as we often have other guests arriving the same day and cleaning services must occur during this 4 hour window. Any late checkout times will incur extra charges at $40.00 per hour of late checkout time. The Last Little Lake Cottage was born in 1900. We recently renovated her and gave her a whole new makeover, so we hope you enjoy our home as much as we do! You can contact us at any time: Brad & Alicia Here are some details: Wifi Access: Network Name: GUEST - LAST LITTLE LAKE COTTAGE Network Password: Password will be provided when guest welcome letter is sent after your booking. House Access: We use a smart lock by LockState. It's super easy! You must enter your code be sure you hear the beep after each button is pressed then press the LockState button on the top after entering your code. Please allow 3 seconds for lock to fully open. When you are leaving close the door to ensure it is latched and press the LockState button twice you will hear the lock closing allow 3 seconds to close fully then you may check the door is secure by attempting to open it. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us. This access code is good for the official duration dates and time of your stay. Again, please be prepared to leave by no later than 11:00 a.m. CST on the day of your check out. We ask this so we may be able to have adequate time to ensure the place is properly prepared for our next guests. Kitchen We have a Keurig coffee machine and you should find some pods to get you started for your first morning cravings! For those of you who prefer tea we also have a tea kettle and tea pot, as well as strainers. We have the other basics including dishes, baking sheets, bowls, etc. Please make sure to dispose of large food items in the trash and not in the disposal. Trash can is located in the bottom of the pantry. Traditional items can be found in the pantry. There is a small table that expands to seat 4 for interior dining and can be folded down when not in use. The dishwasher setting are on top of the door if you have trouble locating the settings or the on/off switch. Sun/Living Room Both couches are leather. One remote to operate the TV. - TIVO and Netflix available. There is no Pay-per-view options but a great selection of shows via TV or Netflix with Guest accounts for your use. Bedrooms/ Bathrooms The queen bedroom is our master, each bed is provided 1500 thread count sheets of very fine quality to help you rest as comfortable as possible. Additional blankets and sheets can be found in the closet if needed. The bunk-bed room also houses the full sized washer and dryer. - Window Shades Operations - 2 Kinds 1. Light filtering through-out main parts of the cottage. These can be lowered downward to let light in or raised upward. 2. Bedrooms have blackout shades on windows. Simply pull these down from the top. Outdoors When using the deck please be aware of the sides, we did not install a rail in hopes of optimizing the view. The grill is yours to use. Please make sure and close the gas after each operation. Smoking is strictly prohibited- We ask that you please do not smoke in the home, but feel free to smoke outside. We only ask that you dispose of your butts in an appropriate and safe manner. Towels We have provided towels that are for use in the property. Please do not use the bathroom towels for things such as boating, going to the beach or park with. There are two beach towels provided at the house for these types of uses. Parking Parking on street is allowed. You are allowed to park one vehicle on the street. Any additional vehicle parking must be parked in the space behind the property in the court-yard which is accessed through the alley on N. 3rdStreet. You should park facing toward the lake and can park on either side of the street there is no assigned parking spots. Other Facilities We do have an Nest thermostat if you are unsure of how to operate it you can google it or call us if you have problems but you should be able to simply turn the dial to the desired temperature setting. The blinds in the front room are pulled up or down, please just make sure these are left closed when you leave so that the property stays secure.” - Window Blinds Operation - 2 Types Garbage Trash day is Tuesday if you are at the property please set the trash out on Monday for pickup. If you are not at the property on a Monday, simply leave it on the side of the house and we will take care of it on trash pickup day. Groceries Fareway on Highway 18 is the larger of the two grocery stores, a better selection of produce and meat. Louie’s Meat shop (also on highway 18) has excellent variety of fresh meats and seafood. Lake Liquors is the best place to shop for wine. Liquor and beer can be purchased as Fareway or Payless (downtown off 8th). Restaurants & Bars There are a number of eating establishments within walking distance of the cottage. Downtown is located just down N. Shore Dr. about 3 blocks with plent of options and there are other various places around the lake to eat. Some places around the lake are seasonal. If you are looking for anything to do or see or would like recommendations on local activities please let us know. Hospital Mercy Medical Center is located on the south east part of town. The closest ER is in Mason City, just east of us past 35. Emergency In case of an emergency, please call 911. WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR STAY!
