The Ballroom - Inn on Crescent Lake

Decorated to be a romantic and inviting space, the Ballroom at the Inn on Crescent Lake is ideal for your long-awaited weekend getaway, anniversary, or honeymoon. This room, located on the Mansion's third floor, offers an idyllic combination of space, luxury, and romantic touches. The Ballroom provides a number of cozy nooks to curl up in and read or enjoy the views. Linger between the sheets of the king-sized canopy bed, relax in the beautiful two-person Jacuzzi tub, or savor the spacious walk-in marble shower in the bathroom. This expansive suite includes a secluded sitting area with table and chairs nestled by an electric fireplace, a cozy loveseat perfect for relaxing while watching a movie, and comes equipped with a mini-fridge. The most romantic getaway in the Kansas City area, this stately and historic bed and breakfast is located in Excelsior Springs, MO, a mere 30 minutes from downtown Kansas City. Our elegant 1915 Georgian Colonial mansion is located on 22 acres and is embraced by two crescent-shaped bodies of water, historically referred to as Crescent Lake. The inn's 10 sophisticated guest rooms are each uniquely decorated, feature many modern amenities, and each one has an in-room private bathroom. In addition to the spacious sleeping room, guests also have access to the living room, where complimentary soft drinks and snack bars are available. The sun-drenched Solarium on the east end of the first floor is where a full hot breakfast (included in your fee) is served each morning, and where guests can find self-service coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available around the clock. I give my guests space but am available when needed. The owners live in a separate house on the property and are available 24/7 via phone or text. Excelsior Springs has many activities planned throughout the year for you to enjoy. Annual festivals include Gatsby Days (April), Waterfest (last weekend in June), and the Bar-B-Que Contest and Fly-In on the River (August). Businesses decorate for the Christmas holiday, and there is a beautiful Hall of Trees exhibit inside the world's longest mineral water bar at the Hall of Waters. Other holiday events include a Holiday Homes Tour, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and a holiday parade and caroling. Popular year-round events include Art Crawls in various downtown galleries and businesses as well as Girls' Night Out. Downtown Excelsior Springs boasts some wonderful boutique shops, spas, and family-owned restaurants. Take a walk down Broadway and explore some of them! Enjoy an incredible meal and friendly service at Ventana Gourmet Grill, which is our very favorite restaurant in town (don't miss Wendy and Jill's homemade cheesecake, which is better than any we've ever tasted!). Free parking is available on-site at the Inn. Excelsior Springs does not have a taxi service and Uber service is limited. Guests can enjoy our full-size in-ground swimming pool, seven-person hot tub, and gas-powered fire pit. We also offer a walking trail as well as a paddle boat, and a bass buggy with an electric trolling motor to enjoy time cruising the lake. Guests are permitted to fish the lakes with their own equipment (catch and release). For the ultimate in relaxation, guests can schedule single or couples massages in our on-site massage room.
