The Oleander House - Hot Tub & Starry Night Skies!

The Oleander House is an original 1960's ranch that has been thoughtfully renovated and restored to keep its original charm with modern and comfortable upgrades. Located a quick 25 minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance this property is secluded enough to enjoy the desert starry nights, but close enough to town you'll be able to really enjoy all that Yucca Valley & Joshua Tree has to offer. • THE SPACE There are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathroom with comfortable sleeping arrangements for 4 people; a queen bed in each room. The sleeping arrangements are comfortable, private and relaxing. •THE OUTDOORS The property has a wonderful back patio for beautiful sunrises with a cup of coffee and incredible stargazing. • OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Professionally managed by Hi-Desert Dwellings • RENTAL AGREEMENT There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation • STAR GAZING For viewing of the night sky, it is best to keep all lighting to a minimum. This includes lighting inside the house that can bleed out the night sky. Moonless nights are of course the best. • SUMMER MONTHS We rent the home as 2 bedroom in the summer months due to the lack of AC in the 3rd bedroom in the back of the home. • GETTING TO THE HOUSE The house is located on a dirt road to get to the property. An SUV will not be needed and any sedan should easily get to the property. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outdoor wooden fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
