River Cottage
Welcome to River Cottage, a cute 1,000 sq. ft. home on the Neshobe River in beautiful Brandon, Vermont. Recently renovated, it is walking distance to the breweries and art galleries “downtown”. There is outdoor space on the river to enjoy. The space is light and open. The main room is 14x25 and very comfortable. There is an expanding table for dining. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, toaster oven, electric stove and microwave. There are place settings for 8 as well as a variety of glassware. Basic kitchen utensils are provided. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds. The third has a twin that expands into a king. There is a double sofa bed in the main room. The bathroom has a tub/shower. The washer/dryer is in the bathroom. There is a washer/dryer in the full bathroom. We are available by text 8 am to 10 pm. We’d be happy to share our extensive knowledge of the area. River Cottage is set on the banks of the Neshobe River on a quiet street. This is a rural area with tremendous outdoor recreation activities nearby. Hiking, skiing, mountain biking, golf and fishing are right here. Neshobe golf club is around the corner and is a beautiful and fun place to play. It is one of the most desirable places to play in Vermont. There are multiple lakes in the area for boating, swimming and fishing. They include Lakes Dunmore, Hortonia and Bomoseen. All have public access for swimming and boating. Skiing is very accessible. Cross country, lift served downhill and backcountry skiing are all locally available. Killington, Pico and Middlebury Snow Bowl are all within a 45 minute drive. The famed RASTA backcountry ski terrain is 10 minutes away. Brandon’s newly renovated downtown hosts excellent breweries, art galleries and restaurants. Groceries and a pharmacy are right in town. Brandon is also home to Barn Opera! This is a rural area, you’ll need wheeled transportation. There is parking for 2 cars. WATER!!! The tap water is the best in Vermont! No chlorine. Save money and plastic bottles. Fill your water bottle right from the faucet!
