Backing up onto Lake Deforest our cottage offers you an easy escape only 45 min from NYC. Tempur-pedic queen size firm bed, colorful touches, Nespresso machine, and fire pit make this a WFH escape. 5 min to Palisades center, yet tucked back in the woods. 25 min from Bear Mountain for hiking, kayaking, etc. 10 min from downtown Nyack restaurants and shops. An airy design with pops of rich color make the space feel special. With a cozy eating nook with vintage Swedish chairs, a full size sleeper sofa for extra guests, back slate patio with fire pit, funky retro bathroom, and a work from home space that makes you feel you are in the woods you'll be sure to relax. If you wish to utilize the sleeper sofa please let us know ahead of time so we can have extra linens available for use. Full access to the cottage and the surround back and front yard spaces. Feel free to walk down to the lake, but it is the public water supply reservoir so no recreational activity is allowed in the water. We live on the other side of the property so if you needed anything we are a text away, but will absolutely let you have your space. The cottage is super close to so much shopping and restaurants but fully tucked away into the woods. Having a car is the best way to get around, but Uber is available, streets are bike-able, and Hudson Link offers great reliable public transit.
