Bright and airy four bedroom, two bath (+ outdoor shower!) house less than 2 miles from the beach at Maidstone Park, and 10 minutes from both East Hampton and Amagansett. Perfect for families. It's conveniently located in the wooded Springs area of East Hampton with easy access to area beaches & bay excursions. The neighborhood is quiet with wooded preserve across the street, and the home & fully fenced back yard with pool (open Memorial Day through mid-September), large deck, and grill are furnished for you to have a relaxing vacation! There is a binder with instructions for how to operate items (fireplace, washer/dryer/thermostat, etc) in the house, as well as some suggestions for restaurants and other local attractions. My husband or I will be available by phone if you need any assistance, and our caretaker is nearby in case of an emergency. The Neighborhood This is a quiet neighborhood. There is a preserve across the street from the house, which means that there are not a lot of neighbors and not a lot of cars driving through. From the house, you're a short ride to the incredible bay beaches at Maidstone Park or one of several harbors. You're also a ten minute drive from downtown East Hampton or Amagansett. Nearby, you'll find Maidstone Market, the Springs Country Store and Bonac Farms organic market stand where breakfast, lunch and small groceries are available year round. A quick drive away you can load up on delicious summer foods at Round Swamp Farm. There are a handful of restaurants for dinner in the Springs, including Harbor Grill & Harbor Bistro, which are along Three Mile Harbor, all of them are good local options with fresh seafood and Hamptons grown produce. If you're interested in more restaurant options, the closest towns are East Hampton (6 miles), Amagansett (6 miles), Bridgehampton (15 miles) and Montauk and Southampton (20 miles). Getting Around You can get around by car, foot or bicycle. You can walk to the beach at Maidstone Park, which about 1.5 miles away.
