We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit. The Space: Offering 560 square feet inside and five acres outside, Pause House: PM invites feelings of calm and serenity with its generous views and minimalist aesthetic. This brand new, modern cabin is the ideal launchpad for outdoor activities. It’s just a 15-minute drive from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, but you can certainly find plenty to explore on your five private acres too. -BEDS & BATHS- Thanks to the lack of street noise and light pollution, you’ll sleep well in Pause House: PM’s one bed, which features a Casper mattress and pillows as well as sumptuous Frette linens and a contemporary design. The cabin has a studio layout, so the sleeping area is adjacent to the living area. The bathroom features Parachute premium towels and bath products from Public Goods. -KITCHEN & DINING- The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook from a quick breakfast to a gourmet dinner. Appliances include a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, and coffee maker, and the cabinets are stocked with dishes and Cuisinart cookware and tools. When it’s time to eat, pull up a chair at the intimate indoor dining table, or you can opt for al fresco seating at the shaded outdoor table, just steps away. And, of course enjoy the Joshua Tree Coffee Company coffee that we provide. -LIVING SPACE- Opposite the kitchen, you’ll find a comfy sectional that’s the perfect place to relax after an invigorating hike or a hearty meal at Crossroads Cafe. Put your feet up and flip on the 65-inch smart TV - or just revel in the sounds of silence. Throughout the living space, you’ll find rustic plywood walls and light hues inspired by a desert afternoon. -OUTDOOR SPACE- The kitchen and living area open to a spacious patio through a sliding door. On the patio, you’ll find a gas barbecue grill and a dining table, and a few steps further is a fire feature. The brand new hot tub is perfect for enjoying a beverage, overlooking all of Joshua Tree. -ESSENTIALS- The property includes parking for a couple of cars and a charger for electric vehicles (level 2). Pause House: PM also has WiFi, central heating, and air conditioning, so you’ll always be comfortable and connected - and solar panels mean you’ll minimize your carbon footprint while you’re here. Pause House: PM is one of two Pause Houses that are on contiguous 5-acre parcels. Be sure to check out Pause House: AM and the joint listing for both houses called Pause Houses. Please contact us if you have any questions about the cabin or the area in general. We hope to welcome you soon! Guest Access: You will have the entire house and property to yourself. If you need additional space, the neighboring sister property can be rented as well: https://airbnb.com/h/pausehouses The Neighborhood: Yucca Mesa is situated within a short drive from the most popular attractions in the High Desert, offering an incredible combination of convenience and tranquility. During the day, you can explore nature in your own backyard, and at night, the stargazing can’t be beat.
