If you need a little retail therapy you can check out the shopping at the Lighthouse Outlet Mall. Some great side junkets include Three Oaks which is about 25 minutes away. Sample a couple of craft cocktails and get a bite to eat at the Journeyman Distillery. A wonderful distillery occupying the historic Featherbone building, which manufactured corsets and buggy whips, back in the day. Be sure to visit Trilogy, and some of the other unique shops in the historic downtown district. Bridgeman is also about 25 minutes away and have a couple of great breweries. Sample a flight and pick up a growler of your favorite! The Red Arrow Highway is a great driving excursion with lots of restaurants and antiques shops along the way. This location is only 3 blocks walking to the South Shore train line which is a 40 minute ride to the South Bend airport and a quick cab or Uber to the game field. About 30 minutes by car.
